The Papas Pene with sausage and arugula was another standout—savory, peppery, and satisfying. What makes Varasano’s even better is how well it lends itself to ordering multiple dishes and sharing with friends. The service was excellent, attentive without being overbearing, and the free parking is a huge plus in Atlanta.

We started with the garlic bites, and wow—what a way to kick things off. Buttery, garlicky, and perfectly crisp with that soft, pull-apart center. Hands down one of the best appetizers I’ve had at a pizza joint.
The star of the show? The classic Nanna pizza with red peppers. This pie is a masterpiece. The crust strikes that ideal balance—crisp yet chewy, with just the right char from the oven. The sauce is bright and tangy, the cheese melts into every bite, and those roasted red peppers add a smoky-sweet pop that elevates the whole thing. I’m still thinking about it.
Thursday nights are a must—unlimited wine with your meal? Yes, please. It’s generous, fun, and pairs beautifully with the food without ever feeling gimmicky.
Service was top-tier: our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and checked in just the right amount. The whole team seemed genuinely happy to be there, which made the experience even better.
If you’re in Buckhead and love pizza done right, Varasano’s is a no-brainer. I’ll be back—probably on a Thursday.
Better than The Pizza in Italy!
I just came back from Italy and was talking to friends about how amazing their pizza was and have just found the best place in America! Better than Italy’s.

Just out of this world experience!!!
The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, the sauce is flavorful, not heavy and the cheese just melts in the best way possible. Every bite feels like pizza perfection. I could eat this every day!
Pizza was good. Salad was okay. As with all reviews it’s subjective. From all the reviews, many do enjoy. For us, just wasn’t our preference compared to other Neapolitan places.
Nice local pizza restaurant. Laid back vibes. Family oriented and looks like mostly locals from the nearby condo’s on this Saturday night. Good food. Parking is very limited and seating is good for small groups. Pizza was ok to me with a very thin crust but the toppings were a hit or miss. Pepperoni large and delicious, sausage crumble barely there. Drinks ok. Service is on point. They are very attentive to detail and hustle. This is a good spot if you crave a quick late-night sit down and you are on that side of Atlanta.
