Awesome place to stop with lots of picnic tables and a park nearby. Typical fast food but awesome selection of icecream! They have dairy free, sugar free, sorbet, dole whip, soft and hard ice cream. A super popular place definitely worth stopping if you never have

This place was great! It’s not just about the food but it’s about the whole experience you get when here. Hope to be back one day! The Jackburger was excellent and I’m so happy I didn’t pass on the Fried Dough.

A staple of Schenectady. Been going here for 32 years and it’s kind of nice how it hasn’t changed that much. The service is quick and friendly. The food is pretty good at a reasonable price. Great place to take the family. With the park, stage and river nearby there is plenty to enjoy in the summer. No vegan options unless you want a frozen treat. But they do have dairy free and vegetarian options for those that are meatless. I hope they continue to succeed for years to come.

I was back in town and just had to return to old stomping grounds and Jumpin Jack’s is near the top of the list!

Short menu of standards. Even when the line is long, it goes quickly! Be ready with what you want to order when asked. Prices aren’t bad considering everywhere else’s pricing. Order the fried dough, you will not regret it. The jack burger is a must have, double stacked cheeseburger with coleslaw. The ice cream in the second building is great! Check the schedule for events, or enjoy the park across the street. Parking lot can fill up, but they do have spots around back of the buildings also.

I was a teenager in the 70’s and ate here all the time. Since then, I’ve only come back home a handful of times. When I do, it’s a must to eat at Jumpin’ Jack’s. It’s like a time warp. Nothing, really, nothing has changed! It’s the best! When I talk to other “ex-pats”, they all feel the exact same. My guess – 50 years from now, it’ll be the same. What a treasured resource.

Went for a motorcycle ride with my father the other day (26 Aug 2023) and we decided to stop over at Jumpin’ Jacks for lunch… food was good and it’s always a great atmosphere if you want to eat outside. I have never had a bad experience up until yesterday. As my father was waiting for our food I went to the checkout window to grab drinks and pay for our food. Upon getting our drinks the cashier asked if there was anything else… I began to tell her what we ordered and she rudely interrupted me saying that she must visibly see what we ordered. As I then told her I’m going to set the drinks down at the open table by our motorcycles I was met with rude sarcasm. My father believed we had paid and began to put condiments on our food at the condiment stand approximately 10 feet away… This cashier demanded (not asked) my father come to the counter as he was putting ketchup on his cheeseburger and as I reproached to pay I again told her what we ordered and we showed her the tray… she then had the audacity to say to me “Are you both too lazy to step up to the window?”

Best soft-serve ice cream in town. Its somehow fluffy! Their pistachio flavor is my favorite. Great summer only place to grab burgers and fries (and ice cream).

In my humble opinion, the owners should accept pay options other than only cash. It makes it seem (only a perception) that they’re not paying their full tax burden. Not everyone carries cash around to pay for food. I do but many others don’t. When I was waiting on line to place my order three potential customers left because of the cash-only policy. Hope this suggestion is helpful.
