absolutely phenomenal place! came here for the first time when I was visiting a friend who lives in the area. we had such a great time! it was super busy when we went in and we were put on a wait because the place was very lively for brunch. the host was very nice while we waited and kept us informed. when we sat our server came right over and she was also very welcoming. our food was amazing! I got the short ribs and it was by far one of the best I have ever had. they serve it with a steak knife but it must be for decoration on the plate because the short ribs were so perfect slow cooked, the knife wasn’t even needed. I was very pleased with my decision and with the recommendation to come here. I for sure will be back when in town.

Excellent. Been twice in less than 30 days. Second visit had a live performer who was very good. Especially with the little kids that was there. Atmosphere was better as we went earlier in the day. First visit was later and very busy as they had it opened for a beach volleyball team. We eventually got seated( no thanks to the first server who actually left, stared at us on her way out.) But our actual waitress was great. She sat us and was pleasant. Nice place. Catered to both vegan and gluten free choices

Loved this place. $20 for bottomless brunch drinks (mimosas, bloody Marys, and screw drivers). Totally worth it. Went with my best friend for a brides maid get together and had a blast. Food was great too, lots of options and huge brunch portions. Full pizza menu even during brunch and it was delicious.

Place was highly recommended by friends. I went with my girlfriend last night and sat at bar for drinks and dinner. The bartender would barely give us the time of day. We’d be placing an order or ordering another drink and he’d be walking away mid-order. The bar wasn’t very busy either. He had some friends at the side of the bar and a neighborhood loud alcoholic type cursing and drinking a Budweiser with a sleeve on it as if he was at the beach. Bartender was friendlier and paying a lot more attention to these folks then us polite, paying customers. Cursing with them also in front of my date which wasn’t professional. Just didn’t enjoy sitting there. Wasn’t a pleasurable experience having to go through this bartender all night. Felt like I was bothering him every time we asked for something.

For my wife and me, Brixx & Barley (B&B) is our go-to spot for great food and service when coming to Long Beach. While inside can be noisy with large TV screens for sports enthusiasts, partyers, and the bar crowd, we enjoy outside dining which is much quieter.

My family of 5 went to Brixx & Barley to have dinner on Saturday August 4, 2022. I went to my name on the list and we were looked up and down and was then told nanh, the earlist would be at 9:30 we were there at 6:45. We left, I called a few minutes after we left and was told the wait was 25 minutes. I asked to speak to the manager, and Brandon came on the phone, I told him what happened and how we were treated poorly and it was discrimination. I don’t every say this but that was the treatment. The manager was very quick defended his staff and I end the call. I was going to let it go but I have spoken to more than 3 people who got the same treatment there. I live in state and I would never go back there. But for any one who reads their reviews and say this place sounds great to go and eat. Although the food might be amazing think about the service. The host is the face of the restaurant and if the manager accepts that kind of behavior. I will spend my money some other place.

Very friendly and fast service, knowledgeable about great local beer selection, nice outdoor seating on sidewalk. Ok food. The angry chicken sandwich is topped with cheap vinegary hot sauce but somehow the chicken is worse without it. Disappointing fries didn’t taste like truffles and were hot but maybe not freshly made?

Came for dinner. One of the first tables seated, took over 2 hours from start to finish. We have a 2 year old. Service was a bit slow for a Friday night. Otherwise the food was good.
