Okay! Now you want a flash back in times? Or how about a sail on a USS Naval Ship. This place is well worth the visit. The food is fantastic, going back 40+ yrs! Son, Chef and the place is a must see. The meals are spot on and the Lobster Rolls??? Forget about it!!

Absolutely hands down the best lobster I’ve ever had, and especially lobster roll. They crack their lobsters fresh first thing in the morning and it can tell! Also best clam chowder as well. So glad I stumbled into this gem. A bit pricey but it’s seafood and big portions so expected. Great decor too!

Very disappointed, the food was ok, service left a lot to be desired. The server clearly didn’t want to serve us. Food was dropped off in a rush and we were never checked on again until we asked for boxes and the check. Still tipped 20 percent bc its good karma, would have tipped 30-40% If the service was good. Edit: took most of our food Togo since it was uncomfortable eating there, heated up my baked potato today to find it rotten (picture attached)

I love this place. We stop on our way to Massachusetts, usually call 20 minutes ahead and take out our order. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. The warm butter lobster roll is incredible – large chunks of lobster with a toasted roll. I love that takeout lets me put it together so the roll is not soggy. The crab cakes are really good also. I like the sweet potato fries. 4 stars for the salmon burger I had on the last trip. There was no seasoning, and I didn’t finish it. I’ll go back to the lobster roll or crab cakes on the next trip.

Loved so much about this place! Food was fantastic HUGE portions, the service was fast and friendly. My husband and I each ordered a meal, not doing that in the future, can’t wait to go back and try other items we will share one meal next time though . One meal is enough for 3+ people. We had enough food to get us 4 meals each!!!

A local favorite, as the restaurant was full; we arrived just prior to what appeared to be a busy period.

This was my first time here. I liked the atmosphere quite a bit. A mix between nautical and Midwestern Supperclub.

I was looking for nostalgia when I came to Chowder Pot and I only got a portion of that. After returning to the state after a decade away, we decided that dinner at Chowder Pot was a must. Our server, Larry, was enjoyable, polite, and kept us laughing. However, the quality of food is not what it once was. The sides are bland and don’t come out at the same time, (coleslaw comes to you almost as soon as your drinks, this seems to be the norm across all the tables that were dining, not just something our server did.) We ordered 3 meals from the dinner menu, even though we had a child with us, she wanted lobster, I am thankful her food was fine. I was a bit overwhelmed with the bread crumbs on the shrimp scampi, it was like a butter soaked cake sitting on the top of each one, the flavor was okay, but the bread crumbs and grease was too much, the seafood rice was stock cooked rice with a single shrimp and some shredded, what appeared to be imitation, crab in it. The stuffed scallops dish was so fishy tasting and smelling that it just couldn’t be eaten for the scallops, ironically, but the shrimp was edible in it, the potato was cooked, but dry like leather, and the coleslaw was served with the drinks as mentioned before. Sadly, we ended up slightly ill by the next morning, NOT food poisoning, but certainly upset stomaches.

Food was fantastic and the portions were huge for what we paid. I’m pretty sure that’s the biggest serving of Salmon I’ve ever received in a restaurant. The Apps were good and the Lobster Mac had huge chunks of lobster in it. Everything was well prepared.
