The service and hospitality is splendid every time I have dined at Mithaas! The manager, Mr. Sharma, kept checking on us frequently and gave his recommendations based our our dietary restrictions. The atmosphere reminded me of my favorite restaurants in India. The food was fresh and we were never kept waiting for long. If you want to try our tradition Indian food and some other interesting variations, this is the place to go!

If you ever find yourself in Little India of New Jersey, you must make a stop at Mithaas. The food, the service, and the atmosphere will all far exceed your expectations – just like they did for us. When we went to the counter to order our food, we were greeted by the most hospitable and dedicated manager, Mr. Pooran Sharma. Mr. Sharma not only recommended us the best food, he ensured that our first time here would not be the last. He checked up on all the tables while we were there, and was managing the restaurant like we had never seen before. All the staff seemed happy to be working under his guidance, and the service was beyond impressive. There are so many food options and they can make it suitable for all dietary needs. It’s a great environment overall and a place like Mithaas deserves all the business. We cannot wait to go back!

Mithaas Jersey city location is the best vegetarian “street food” in the US. This yogurt based “dahi dishes” are so cool. The breads (misi roti with spinach) is divinely delicious. Mr Pooran Sharma, manager, is one of the best human beings and a very effective manager. He is very particular about cleanliness and hygiene and customer delight. The indian Chinese dishes of Szechuan paneer are just the kick I needed to my taste buds. My family goes there every month to get our Indian tune up 🙂 Highly recommended.

Excellent food and friendly manager and team. I love the vegetarian options and sweets. I wasn’t sure what to order but I was guided in the right direction and I’m so happy with my order. Would highly recommend and will come visit again!

MITHAAS just feels like home away from home. They have the best chole bhature and papri chaat that makes you remind of Delhi. It’s a must visit. Shoutout to Sharma ji for the remarkable hospitality!!

By the look of it, food looked decent. Only a few things on the menu were good. We felt the staff to be a bit rude and unfriendly.I feel they should focus more on their quality & hygiene of food as I found hair in my curry. Our food took a lot of time to come and also the South Indian food was very bad in taste.

We always go into Mithaas to have their lunch thali. It is tasty and the quantity of food is good. I like that you can have aamras. The other things we have tried here are Raj kachori chat, vada pav and pani puri. I highly recommend these items as well.
