I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tulsi Indian Eatery, and I must say it was a truly remarkable experience. The highlight of my visit was their fascinating cat robot-like server that effortlessly glided across the restaurant, bringing dishes to each table. It was a delightful blend of technology and tradition, adding an element of fun and uniqueness to the dining experience. The ambience of the restaurant was equally impressive, with well-lit interiors creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The attentive and friendly staff further enhanced the overall dining experience. Tulsi Indian Eatery is a gem of a restaurant, seamlessly combining innovation, culinary excellence, and a pleasant ambiance. I highly recommend visiting this establishment for a truly memorable dining experience. It deserves every bit of its five-star rating!

We ordered the family special which allows you to select two types of rice 3 curries and 2 types of roti. While the food was reasonably priced and the ambiance was pretty good, the service was very slow. We also added an extra side of rice, roti and lassi and it took close to half an hour to get them all. There is a fancy robot to serve the food, but it takes a long time for them to even load the items on the robot while they’re sitting ready on the shelves. Quite disappointed with the pace of the service.

We had literally worst experience here. It’s a Indian vegetarian restaurant. They offer wide range of menu. Visited with a group of 7. We ordered aloo paratha, tulsi special masala dosa, uttapam, veg thali, vadapav, veg noodles. Their service was super slow even though it was not crowded at all. Uttapam was not cooked properly. Dosa was crispy and tasted ok.

Tulsi Indian Eatery is a well lit Indian vegetarian restaurant. We ordered the family special. We could choose two types of rice, 3 curries and 2 types of roti. For the price you pay, they offer a decent portion size. And in all honesty, the food is pretty good too.

Surprisingly good food for such a diverse menu and quite fast service. Dosa and sambar were solid, all curries were delicious with nicely cooked naan, pickles were clearly made in-house and tasty. Very reasonably priced and large servings.

Pretty good vegetarian Indian food. They have options from the north, west, and south, of India. I have been here twice so far, with my parents. And we have tried the chair, coffee, special masala dosa, chili garlic fried rice, dabeli, and the loaded fries.

Truly a 5 star vegetarian clean food option so close to UCLA! I come from the Bay Area and I would rate Tulsi as the number 1 amongst the Veg restaurants, hands down. Thali, with a twist, you could do an a la carte’ thali with number of great options to choose from. We tried the 3 curry thali, daal, rice, garlic naan which was amazing in taste. Their dahi puri was probably nothing else I’ve ever tried. North Indian, Gujrati, South Indian and indo Chinese options to choose from in the menu, makes it an amazing spot for lunch, dinner or brunch! The taste is definitely next level and you wouldn’t smell the old oil in their food, that unfortunately has become a very common practice these days. Their masala chai closed the deal for me. Prices are seriously reasonable and almost the pre-pandemic level, which again, unfortunately most other Indian places are taking full advantage of, whether or not they deserve to command that kind of premium. All in all, if you are near Westwood/UCLA, do not miss this place for anything else. You won’t repent. I just wish they would come to Bay Area!!!

Tulsi is a vegetarian restaurant located very close to UCLA. There is plenty of seating available inside the restaurant. We did not see any outdoor seating. There is street parking near the restaurant.

Overall good food but the idli and vada did not seem fresh. Paan lassi was good and gun powder masala dosa was very good. Paneer tikka tacos are not good. I had been to the Northridge location tulsi which was really amazing when compared to this location.
