Went to Trace last night to celebrate my partners birthday. It was Saturday night at 8:00 and it was dead. One other table of like 8 max.

Not bad, especially if your taking advantage of your Amex credit. But how can you have a pecan oatmeal and run out of pecans!

I expected more. It’s a cute looking place, but unfortunately on the side of the 2nd street at the moment infested with the homeless, so watch out for that (the city should really do more to help them instead of just moving them around!!!). Decor is modern elegant but cosy at the same time; cheap mimosa ($5 for carafe) but quite watered-down. The food is less than mediocre; my overpriced fried chicken waffles ($20!) were so under-seasoned (no salt, minimum honey in the batter itself). It basically was a chicken steak not fried chicken. In addition, the batter split (see the picture) which means it was either battered, frozen, defrosted, and then fried, or they just don’t know how to fry. The want to season the dish with a way too spicy for me sauce (vinegar based) which I didn’t care for and the whole thing was thus blunt. It tastes like the chef has some ideas but the execution is subpar. I suggest ginger and lemon zest for the seasoning of the fried chicken (and marinade it!). My husband’s migas was OK, but nothing amazing either; the potatoes were the best thing we ate there which isn’t too good. They have good coffee but expensive ($5 for a single espresso!). The whole experience was quite expensive at $67 and not an amazing culinary experience. We won’t be going back.

Quiet and beautiful place. I love that the salmon is healthy too. My whole family enjoyed it here so much! If you want to try a nice healthy meal, I recommend it for sure!

The food was prepared pristinely and plated with love . The pulled Pork tacos were beyond amazing! The Arugula Salad is a must if your a salad person. The chicken sandwich was the crispiest chicken sandwich I’ve ever had, in my entire life! The sandwich came with a side of fries that were packed full of flavor. My favorite part was how prompt, knowledgeable and courteous the wait staff was. Michael attended us & suggested all the plates that we tried. So happy that we popped in for a quick bite.

Clean, modern restaurant on the first floor and patio of the W hotel downtown. Wait staff was friendly and attentive, but badly understaffed for Easter Sunday Brunch. Overall it worked out well as they were in no rush to turn tables and had more than enough entertainment in the form of live animals, live music, and never-ending Easter Egg hunts. The food was average, and the menu was fixed, but the hostess brought out tons of, “the good stuff,” for the kids, so everyone left happy with pimped out Easter baskets. We would happily return.

Nice ambiance, great service. I had a delicious bowl of acorn squash soup with toasted pepitos, crrspy Brussels sprouts in apple glaze, and a smashed potato with sour cream, chedder cheese and scallions, along with a glass of Chardonnay (a genorous pour) for $45.

This place was so good. Expensive, but worth it. We ordered a bunch of appetizers, and everything was exceptional. The drinks were great too, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice meal at a fancy location.

Took a friend who had a layover 4/25 at 7am, ordered eggs and potatoes as sides. Felt a bit off the around 2pm got full on food poisoning and had to take time away from work. Didn’t stop until 11pm. Called the restaurant several times to warn them and got no response back. So many better places to go, would not recommend.
