Got a sandwich right near opening and the bread was hard as a rock worse than the day old bread. 12 dollars for just a sandwich I expect fresh bread. Also they have messed up my order 2 times in the last couple months

Just wanted to post to warn anyone of ordering online. I placed an order online for 1 sandwich with chips and a drink. When I got there the place was packed. I waited 23 min before going up and asking about my order. They told me it would be another 20-25 min. I told them I would run an errand and come back. While there a friend of mine ordered in person for her and her kids and got her order within 10 min of waiting. I came back and they still did not have my order in line to be made. I waited 52 minutes total before getting my one sandwich. Their system was to keep making in person orders but online orders were last priority and not in order with the rest of the orders. They failed in this and it should be staggered based on order time. I was not offered any type of compensation or anything for my wait. Definitely learned my lesson and will not being doing this again, and don’t want others to go through this.

Against my better judgement, I decided to visit Jimmy John’s just 10 minutes before closing time. I was bracing myself for a disapproving look, but instead, I was greeted warmly and attentively, completely oblivious to the time. The three employees who were working didn’t hesitate to serve me, even though it was almost time to close up shop for the night. In fact, it was the most pleasant experience I’ve had at a Jimmy John’s. I was literally in and out in seven minutes! I highly recommend it and would definitely go back!!

I ordered sandwiches but received much smaller portions than expected. When I inquired about it, the staff insisted that the size was standard and claimed the sandwiches were 8 inches long. However, they turned out to be slims. The customer service was lacking, and there was a noticeable absence of accountability. Additionally, when management assured me that I would receive a follow-up call, it never happened.

Ordered my food without mayo and they put Nero on it anyway which I’m allergic to.

This is far and away the slowest jimmy johns I’ve ever been in. 15 minutes for my sandwich, still waiting 20+ minutes on my girlfriends sandwich. How do you think I had this much time to type out the review? We had to ask for her sandwich and they still hadn’t started it. I get it you’re busy but what’s going on here, hire more staff.

I ordered my food at 12:25 and after 2 phone calls and almost 2 hours I finally got my food at 2:10! And if that’s not bad enough my bread is hard and the Lettuce looks old. You can tell the sandwich was made when I placed my order and sat there for 2 hours!

I use to work in food and know the rules about “cross contamination”. This place is the prime example of not following those rules. I order a sandwich and as they are making it, another sandwich the young lady is making is also touching mine. Absolute carelessness.
I know I will get the generic “we are so sorry about this, please give us your feedback” response from Google soon. But hopefully the ones in charge see this review and teach these employees how to handle food properly before someone gets sick.

Honestly I’ve never received a bad sandwich from this place. Little pricey though.

This location in Sycamore IL has become total trash! We usually order once or twice a month, sometimes even more. We ordered dinner for our family tonight (5 sandwiches). All were fine except one. My husband’s sandwich tasted super bitter and gross. So he called in hopes of having them send out a new sandwich. There’s a girl that he spoke with was super rude, she had to ask her manager. After a while she came back and explained to him that their produce isn’t always good and that it’s probably the lettuce. He just asked if he could have a new sandwich. She offered a credit. We didn’t want that, we just wanted a new sandwich and told her we’d be more than happy to give her the bad one. She told my husband to pick off the lettuce and enjoy his sandwich and hung up. So because he was hungry and the rest of us were eating he did what she said and took off the lettuce and continued to eat it. Well it didn’t help. So little by little he tasted each item on his sandwich and we figured out it was the cucumbers. So I decided to call back to let them know so they don’t continue to serve it. The girl answered and told me that they’ve been getting a lot of complaints about bad food there. She told me some of their shipments from their supplier arrive spoiled. Why on earth would you knowingly serve rotten food? She just said it happens and kind of laughed at me. She was very rude and condescending. She should be fired for how she talked to the both of us. I explained to her that she shouldn’t serve anymore of this to the customers. She said it was out of her hands. How is this even possible? I work in food service and would never treat a customer this way, ever! So I asked her who I should contact should my husband ends up sick from it or with food poisoning. She laughed and told me that she also works in horticulture and that you can’t get sick from rotten cucumber. I told her that you can get sick from eating anything that’s rotten and she laughed again said thank you for bringing this to my attention and hung up. DO NOT EAT AT JIMMY JOHNS IN SYCAMORE IL. THEY KNOWINGLY SERVE ROTTEN FOOD TO THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!
