Our regular Mexican takeout place wasn’t answering the phone one night so we tried this place. The only issue was that we couldn’t find the menu online, so we had to order somewhat blind. I’ve added photos of the menu for others (taken as of June 2025).
The food is good, but it didn’t surpass my other favorite place. It’s a solid option, and I would eat here again.

Warning! The vegetarian dishes are NOT Vegetarian! Most of the vegetarian dishes are cooked with animal fats.
Excellent food. Fairly good service. Like others have mentioned, if you don’t mind the duct tape, it is otherwise neat and clean.

This place was pretty good. I got the combo of two burritos, one chicken and one beef. The beef one was horrible, it tasted just like regular old ground beef. The chicken one was good. It was served with beans and rice which was so tasty. I think that other dishes would be better, so this isn’t a diss on the entire menu, more my choice. The service was a little bit rough, however. My friend ordered a drink and he never received it. He couldn’t even ask them to bring it because the server didn’t ever come back over. Overall, this place was enjoyable and at a great atmosphere. I would be open to going again to try some of their other dishes.

Really good food and service! Good atmosphere, that’s honestly very versatile. Good for big groups, families, just two people, really anything. Colorful decor and good background music. Taco Tuesday is great here! Really flavorful, good choices of hot sauces, and good prices. Love the queso. I have no complaints. I recommend it if you’re in the area. Good place to eat before or after a movie (sycamore is right across the street.)

I had a suprise birthday party for my parents here and the service was excellent. We had over 58 people show up. Alberto, the manager was very helpful in helping me set everything up and arranging tables. The waiters were excellent and very quick service and efficient. Very friendly staff and everyone enjoyed the food. Highly recommend this restaurant. If you are in Iowa City come check out this restaurant.
