Deliciously fresh sushi! The sushi rice is seasoned right and made with love, it didn’t taste too bland as most other places I’ve tried.

The service was great, but this review is solely for the food. The sushi was just ok – not terrible and not amazing. My spicy tuna roll had wrinkled seaweed as if it had been sitting out for a while. I would go again in a quick pinch for sushi, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

I should have taken the hint when this place was completely empty. We got a variety of sushi that was not only extremely expensive ($100 for 5 rolls!), but the worst sushi I’ve ever had anywhere. I’ve had $1 conveyer belt sushi that tasted better.

Visited this place less than 2 weeks ago after reading some reviews. The place is dark. The food is not good. My wife ordered chicken teriyaki – the chicken breast cubes were dry. I ordered a sushi sashimi dinner – big mistake. The dinner included mostly low quality pieces like shrimp, imitation crab, red clams, octopus, more red snapper than I really cared, 3 thin pieces of tuna and the same of salmon – they were too cold and runny, and 1 small piece of yellowtail. And the rice was dry and hard for sushi.

This place is new to us but it is now our favorite sushi joint in Northdale/Carrollwood. The rolls are fresh, delicious and unique. We will be back again and again.

I loved the food I just wish the server put in all of our orders in at the same time.

I went here because the other Japanese restaurant looked like a tailgate party was ending. I wanted to eat slowly, relax, enjoy the food and atmosphere. The people are so kind. I found that they have been around many years. I wish I knew. This place has original Japanese food and excellent service.

Every restaurant around Florida, always serves cheap fake sushi and low grade quality. My wife and I who are from Japan, don’t complain about most sushi places because we know what to expect. But this place takes the cake, we wanted traditional Japanese sushi and cuisine. As we came, we were greeted nicely and given hot towels to wipes our hands and faces, as most quality restaurants should have. Chopsticks give you an authentic feel, instead all the other nonsense Asian restaurants that just throw forks on the tables, assuming no one knows what “chopsticks” are. Their menu was great, all Japanese and no nonsense fusion garbage. We ordered the sushi plate and it was fantastic, good quality and moist. The negimaki gave us such nostalgia, it is an incredible little beef dish. I would recommend this place 100% to anyone who wants to eat authentic Japanese food in Florida.
