Happy and disappointed. They were out of the wine we had originally asked for. The Tuna Tataki was well seared and well seasoned but the presentation was truly bad. It was soaked/drenched in sauce. The sauce was good but it over took the flavor of the tuna. If they would have been better in small long plate. The lemons were cut in a way we couldn’t even squeeze them.

The server wasn’t the best.. We ordered drinks and we seen it sit at the bar for 10 minutes before I had to walk to the bar to get it myself.. It was not busy, as they only had two small parties to serve yet they still barely checked in on us. But, the food in the end was great. The best Red Fish I’ve had before and the White wine and tomato sauce tasted fantastic along with the asparagus and mashed potatoes.

All of our food was FABULOUS. I had the Shrimp and grits. My son had the braised short ribs. Our server was brand new, but she was fabulous. I’ll post pictures.

Wow!!!! Food was amazing! My husband is still talking about his meal 3 days later. I know they do weddings here. I wonder if that is the same chef. He was fabulous! Charlotte our waitress made the best drinks. View of the sunset was spectacular. The restaurant decor was beautiful as well.

I had the ribeye with broccolini and cheese grits and my wife had the chicken and shrimp pasta. Both were excellent! Service was friendly and attentive.

The restaurant itself is nice. It’s small but beautiful and overlooks the water. The service we had was good, but I wouldn’t say it was above expectation, if anything, it was below expectation. For a restaurant that we knew we were spending over $125 at, I would expect the food to have been much better. The only things that were good were my husband’s pasta, the broccolini, and my daughter’s hotdog and fries. I had the $40 filet and it came out sitting on mashed potatoes (which it doesn’t say there’s gravy on them on the menu) and that gravy covered my steak. It was like the filet was treated like chicken fried steak. Don’t get me wrong, the cut was awesome but all I could taste was the gravy and the potatoes since they were all over the bottom of my steak. I did try to wipe it off. I love a good steak and I felt like it was mistreated here. I was asked multiple times within a minute or two that the server was picking up if we wanted a box and I told her we were leaving the next day. Once would have been sufficient for that question…I had just gotten done explaining that the steak didn’t meet my expectations but that I had no issue paying or anything. I just felt like the menu should be more detailed or maybe that the customers should have been notified. I thought the chef may have been newer and she corrected us and said no, this is how we always do it but I’ll let him know. It just wasn’t a great experience. We also got the calamari, and it was not seasoned at all. The sauce with it was almost like mayo. But, we’re from Southeast Louisiana, so maybe we’re just used to food with more flavor. We were not impressed at all.

Wasn’t expecting much as it’s art of a hotel change, but was pleasantly surprised as the waiter Terry was funny, engaging and new the menu! Ordered the fix price meal of BBQ salmon with quinoa and kale. Fantastic taste and the portions were large!

I ordered the seared scallops and got 5 really small overcooked scallops for $39 . The risotto was the consistency of day old oatmeal. Also ordered the filet which was just ok. Tasted more like sirloin.

Never had a short rib I didn’t like until tonight. Menu says it was braised but it had to have been boiled? Dry, tough, not very flavorful. The mashed potatoes tasted like processed cheese to me, which was impressive, because I’m not sure how they achieved that. Asparagus was undercooked, cold, and unseasoned. We were also not allowed to sub for broccolini, although the sides were equally priced on the menu, because they put a new rule in place? You can’t even charge me more to disappoint me?

Appreciated the outdoor seating. Food service was too long… 30min+ to get 2 appetizers. Don’t like nickel/dime in a resort. Should focus on customer sat.
