A beautiful Ghana cuisine selection with solid variety in a limited menu. The location has up close parking available in a shared plaza. There was plenty of seating, with a very clean and relaxed atmosphere. We tried two recommended meals by the hostess, and was not disappointed one bit! Highly recommend the Wakkye if you want to try a dish with variety, great flavors, and some heat available. Customer service was spot on, responsive, and very courteous. If you’re looking to trying West African cuisine please check this place out!

Hubby’s from Accra and states that it’s decent but not the best. Wait times are normal for African food which is 25-45 minutes even if there is no one there do call beforehand.

Terrible customer service when I asked the worker if their meat is halal. He started raising his voice and yelling at me just cuz I asked the source of their meat. The owners need to fire this guy because they just lost a customer and many others will stop coming because of him. Very RUDE and shouldn’t be working in hospitality and restaurant! All he said is that they get their meat from Lancaster! Are you dumb? How does that warrant it being HALAL? Then he said the owners are Muslim. I told him I know A LOT of Muslims who don’t care if their meat is halal or not, so that doesn’t really matter. I was even making light of the situation and trying to crack a joke with him, but this brother went from 0-100 real quick on the anger scale. The only time someone gets mad this quick is when they’re lying. So it was kinda funny to me. Someone needs to teach this guy some customer service skills! Smdh. Dang, a pregnant woman can’t crave a lil Banku and tilapia without having her fellow “brother” angrily attack her like that!?

These guys make the best peanut butter soup I’ve ever had! I get it with the rice balls. I wish they could make it without the fish (the bones are sneaky), but it’s delicious nevertheless and they are very nice there. I’d post a picture of my meal if it were still here.

Nice experience! As a small business, I assume my hosts were the owners, and the were very gracious and attentive. Enjoyed my meal, and the fried plantains is particular…they were fantastic! Worth making a visit!
