Excellent BBQ and service. The place used to be called Woodlands but changed their name about 5 months ago. Never seen turkey breast look like a grilled pork chop before and it was amazing! BBQ pork delicious and with their sauce, Mmmmm Mmmmm! Ribs and brisket just as good. The price was reasonable and they do give a Military discount.

Today was the first day we went downstairs came in for a brunch and food was great as always brisket was cooked to perfection. It had its Smokey taste. Do ask about their lovely sauces that chipotle one I’ve chosen was a great mix of sweetness and slight spice. Lovely experience, servers were friendly and helpful and nice. The ribs were really good (which my husband Carl believes the meat is the star of the meal) but I did not care for the collard greens, and the potato salad…. wasn’t salad. It was large prices of cut up potato with dressing. Nothing else. The service was good, she was quick, attentive and friendly.

I had pulled chicken, partner had brisket. Both were good. Sweet potato fries were some of the best I’ve had. Hush puppies were a solid 4/5. Green beans and collards were salty. House salad was basic. Our server was really great and helped us choose out meat. We will return and get different sides.

Staying in Blowing Rock had dinner there on a quiet Monday night. Quaint place, friendly helpful staff, great food. Ribs are wonderful and tender with a pepper dry rub. I didn’t need sauce since they were moist enough for me. Sweet potato waffle fries were tasty and portion was huge. Hubby had large pulled pork sandwich and beans which were both very good as well. Will visit again when back in the area.

Chef kisses OMG I was blown away by how amazing the food was. We got loaded fries, hush puppies, pork skins, and the best of all the heavy hitter. Guys is the best variety of delicious food especially the brisket and sausage. Oh not to mention I don’t even like brisket but that melted in my mouth! If I could give more stars I would! Chef your food was so good I wanted to slap my mama!

We thought we’d give this location a try since we were going to blowing rock. The pork and brisket were definitely good but the ribs we all got were hard to eat due to the thin membrane not being removed prior to cooking. If not removed, the ribs aren’t as tender and flavorful. Definitely will go back to the Boone location next time.
