This is definitely a 5 star establishment! The service is exceedingly helpful and they really want to make sure everything is exactly as you want it. This is a place where you order and pay first and wait for your food at your table of choice. They are pretty fast given that they make everything themselves and the food quality is as high as it gets in the US! They staff even checked on us early on to see if we needed anything. The atmosphere is warm and festive. This will be a regular for my family every time we are in town!

This was probably among the BEST food I’ve had in a loooong time. The service was fantastic! I liked the homey feel of the restaurant. It was comfortable, like having family cooking for me all over again! 10/10 would definitely recommend. I’m from Idaho, but this may just make moving to Walla Walla worth it.

I arrived yesterday with a LARGE order for my partner’s office. The gentleman working the counter could not have been more patient, kind, friendly, and understanding as I went through my long list. The order was ready within 10 minutes! In addition, they labeled my order to help with organization and carried it out to the car for me!! Amazing! Such a wonderful experience and DELICIOUS food!! After seeing some of their dishes on social media, I decided to give The Happy Wanderer a try. The food was excellent! There are many different authentic items to choose from. I had the quesabirria tacos, made with hand-pressed tortillas, shredded beef, lots of cheese – wonderful! Ordering the combo plate gives you rice and beans. Recommended!

The Happy Wanderer is a great place to get some chow if you’re in the College Place area. They have daily specials so, for example, on Tuesday you can get 3 tacos for 8 bucks (if I remember correctly) and on Fridays you can order some darn good fish tacos. Good food, good service, good restaurant.

We love it! The vegetarian options are delicious and very filling. Portions are worth the price. Staff were friendly and accommodated our requests, even when using DoorDash. We ordered takeaway and enjoyed a delicious dinner at home. Everything was good, but especially the soy chorizo burrito (just ask for any meat-based burrito to have the meat be changed to soy chorizo).

Located maybe a couple of miles south from Walla Walla in College Place. We decided to get takeout for dinner. The Wanderer burrito was excellent and very filling, and loaded with meat. The choice to use quality locally sourced ingredients is great. Even though we didn’t dine in the no-frills eatery came across as inviting and colorful. Recommended.
