Excellent food! Cool vibe! Wonderful service! My husband and I visited The Cub in 2018 and had a great experience. We returned for a meal tonight and it was even better than we remembered! I chose the filet and it was awesome – great flavor, super tender, perfectly cooked. My husband chose the ribeye and was just as happy with his meal. The new owner, Cole, is a natural host and entertainer, and the chef is incredible!

2 Horrible steaks at $40 ea. were immediately with equally bad asparagus and mushrooms. Our group of 6 were the only ones from 5-7:30pm. Burgers were good & Shrimp Scampi was just ok. There must be a reason it’s not very busy there. Anyone can make a burger.

Really enjoyed dinner at The Cub. The Cub is a Shreveport institution that was founded in 1939. Cole, the new owner, is a Shreveport native. If you’ve been around awhile, you might remember his dad, the owner of Humphries. Either way, stop by and a have a hand cut steak for dinner. It is worth the visit.

I put a 5 on the bar for a beer and I was never given my change, which by the way is theft! I would suggest staying clear of this place if they have to steal! Oh, and I spent10-20 dollars not including the money that was STOLEN!

Met up with some friends at the Cub. Cool little steak restaurant. Steak and potatoes were excellent. Great atmosphere. We all enjoyed it. Highly recommend.

I was hesitant to try this, because it was next to a bar. The food was out of this world! The ribeye was phenomenal, the au gratin potatoes and wedge salad were delicious! Definitely worth the $$.

One of the best steaks I have ever eaten in my life! The place is absolutely adorable and gives you that local feel. You walk through the bar that has several pool tables to get to the restaurant. We both had steaks (incredible), potatoes, a wedge salad, and a history lesson from our amazing waitress who told us this place dates back to the early 1900s! Great time, good company, and excellent food

All right so it’s missing two stars because one it doesn’t look very appealing on the outside and two I haven’t been inside yet to try the drinks or the food so if it’s worth it please let me know because I’ve been a few times to be able to friends but I would love to eat and drink as well haha
