Slow, slowwww, slowwwwww service. This is the third time I’ve given this restaurant a chance and the third time I’ve been disappointed. It took over 20 minutes for our server to take our order (the dining room was NOT busy). After we ordered it took another 30 minutes to get some of our food however we did not get our full order until 45 minutes after we ordered. The total wait time from arrival to meal was over 1 hour! The order was incorrect My daughter’s shake came out melted and runny. I will not return to this disaster of a restaurant.

Let me start off by saying that I love steak and shake. The food is good and the prices are nice. My problem is THIS steak and shake. We had to seat ourself because no one came to the front. After that, we had to track down our own waiter to order drinks and food. We waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it came it was cold, and the friar must not have been at the proper temperature because the chicken was greasy and wasn’t holding it’s breading. The ketchup tasted like alcohol, indication it had gone bad, and when we tried to find the manager to discuss all of this, it took an additional ten minutes for him to show up.

Came in the door waited 10 minutes to be seated nobody seated us so we just ordered our food and went and sat at a table. Food took seriously 20 minutes to get there it was all soggy and cold. They forgot the shake and the order was basically all wrong. It was served in to go bags even though we never ordered it to go. Not to mention the manager (Older black male) was screaming at the employees and seriously through something right in front of the customers. Half way through putting our order in this same male left the register and demanded someone else to finish the order. The food did not taste anything like steak and shake. It’s seriously tasted like Day old Mcdonalds. Worst experience EVER

Worst Steak N Shake we’ve been too. If i could rate zero stars, I would. If it’s slow enough, you might get your order. The waitresses were inefficient with no eye contact or alot of excuses. We sat ourselves down and waited for menus. None came. I went and got us menus. Sat around for about 30 minutes and asked for the manager. All she had to say was sorry and asked if we wanted to order. No, we don’t. Poor poor service.

I used to love this place, not anymore. Our waitress came and took our order, we told her that at the end of the meal, we will be ordering a bunch of shakes. She never came back. A guy delivered our food and another waitress fixed all the mistakes with our food. Our waitress visited the table next to us at least 5 times and never even glanced our way. We had empty drinks and never got to order the shakes I had bragged about to my party. When it was time to pay, she miraculously showed up and gave us a thousand excuses as to why she was too busy to check on our table. Not happy!

I am writing this mainly to counter so many of the bad reviews …granted, I walked in smiling when I saw the half price shake deal was on!! No real issues with cleanliness, all the unoccupied tables were clean and prepped (tho the condiment containers could’ve used a bit of attention). For the time I’ve been here, they have had steady business and no problems keeping up. My shake was out within 5 mins, with the food immediately following -hot with that perfect amount of greasy 😉 The Server was great, attentive and smiling. Oh…and for those who don’t like the fries….shoestring fries are hard to find these days, don’t knock a good thing, their fries are awesome precisely because they aren’t like everyone else’s …just my 2 cents 😉

Super slow, and dirty. We ordered shakes with our meal. Good thing they brought us water because we did not get our shakes. We waited 20 minutes for our food (delicious). Asked about our shakes again was told 10 minutes. Finished our meal. Asked again about our shakes, ‘they were making them right now’. Waited another 10 minutes. Finally we went to pay and asked to have the shakes taken off. We had been there an hour. They need more staff or a better manager.

I’d been to this location before and had okay service, but this last time was so frustrating, I probably won’t go back. I had a little time to kill so I thought I’d stop in and get a couple shakes with my husband. We were seated and forgotten. I should also mention there were only 3 families in there when we got there, and one more was seated after us. The one seated after us was eating when we finally gave up and left. We waited 15-20 minutes, then let the other waitress know (ours had disappeared) we were leaving. As we were driving off, I saw my missing waitress playing with another worker in the dumpster area. I called and let the store know, and they offered me “the best possible service” If I returned. I did not.
