After my last few visits, I can agree with many reviews for this location; the service and food is terrible. My last 2 visits were between 10pm – 1am, the late hours of the night. I had one waitress take our order, the fish and chips were not worth the cost. The rest of the time no one checked up on us even though one of the workers kept staring. We went up to the register only to find out that the waitress didn’t make a ticket and we had to wait longer to pay for our food. And my most recent visit wasn’t any better. We ordered the loaded fries, I remember the fries were suppose to be served on a large plate and LOADED with ingredients? We got a small plate and maybe a few sprinkles of cheese and green onion. That’s it. I also notice how dirty the carpet is, caked in dirt. Last year’s visits I made had incredible service and food, what on earth happened?

The food took almost 30 minutes to get to our table, and we were missing several items. The tables were filthy. Sat at a table that had drop leafs on it, and the joints were packed full of old food and could tell that they had just been wiping just the surface. The waitress was great but kept complaining about how no one wanted to work. Then she told the cook to close early cause she was tired and said she didn’t care and was going home.

The service at this location, during the mid-afternoon hours, is atrocious. The waiter did a good job, but he was the only one on duty, so there were long delays. I’ve seen this problem multiple times both during COVID and since then. Whether a waiter or waitress, they are understaffed, and it appears that is their ongoing plan.

Breakfast was greasy and not very well prepared. There was only one waitress for the entire restaurant, and while she was working as hard as she could, she simply couldn’t keep up. The men’s restroom was filthy. We will not be returning.

I ordered breakfast with a side of gravy. Egg was perfect, pancakes were overcooked. Bacon was thin narrow and undercooked. Menu said thick bacon, it was about the same as McDonalds. Hash browns were undercooked and country gravy with sausage was not to my taste. I love, love, good gravy. Service was good. But not good enough to make me want to go back. I bought for everyone, not sure what their opinions are.

Over the last few visits, service has steadily declined. Everyone seems to be stressed and spread too thin because it took four different people for a party of three to be seated, order taken, served and check given. No one asked if we needed anything the entire time. It was by far the most ignored visit ever. I like coming here because the menu has lots of options and it’s a great location but I’m thinking that I probably won’t give it another shot. Update the 90’s mauve decor and hire a few more people.

4 waitresses working, we were ignored for a good 15 minutes, maybe 3 tables seated. Sat for another 20 without even water. Gave up and went to dennys…better service, quicker waitstaff and more attentive management.

One bad experience shame on the giftingm 3 bad experiences shame on me!! We came in for a late night snack, after waiting 17 min for the only waitress to get off the phone we were informed that she couldn’t seat us but could do take out. Apparently she was the only one working besides the cook. We ordered three to go meals and only one of them were even close to being correct! Also all of it was cold. I thought I would take a chance and try again another day. Every time I have been to this restaurant they have been short-staffed, usually waiting between 10 and 20 min to be seated. If your lucky enough to get your food before your too old to eat it, its usually cold or not what you ordered. If your looking for your average, senior citizen type of food this place used to be a thousand times better than Denny’s. Now its 1000 times worse than my neighbor Denny that can’t cook to save his life. One time he blew up a frozen chicken in the microwave and for weeks it smelled like a chicken coup had burned down inside his kitchen! This place needs new owners or at least new management. Perhaps my neighbor Denny is looking for a new job. It would be an improvement.

The food itself was exceptional, so this review doesn’t reflect the cooks. I should have the option to tip them instead. The service was terrible. This place is obviously understaffed and is using shady practices. I wasn’t given the right change back. I wasn’t given a reciept either because the waitress didn’t use the register. My money never even made it to the till. I called to complain and the managers response was “are you calling to complain over a few pennies”? It’s the unprofessional practice itself and not just a few pennies. How can you drop a till if the waitress pockets the money? aha .
