My first time vacationing in New Orleans, Louisiana and this restaurant was recommended. We went for breakfast. Initially, worried about the wait time because of the line. However, after placing our name on the list, we waited for a brief 15 min., maybe less. The food was definitely worth the wait!! Our server Nathan was great! We enjoyed the food and service so much, dined there twice within 4 days. Taylor, our server the second time was just as attentive and on it! A must visit. The only reason for the 3 . We weren’t aware of another, larger Ruby Slipper not too far from the location we went to.

200% recommend stopping here. Their grits are out of this world! There is a pretty good wait to get in so leave time for that but it is so worth it! The biscuits are also absolutely amazing and the Bloody Marys are the best.

We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast experience. The shrimp and grits, shrimp omelet, and side pancakes were all exceptional, earning a perfect 5 out of 5 rating. I must say, the shrimp and grits along with the pancakes were possibly the best I’ve ever had. If you’re planning to visit, I highly recommend adding your name to the waitlist on Google Maps as the wait times can be quite substantial.

First time in New Orleans and tried all the popular brunch spots like Brennan’s. This place is a true gem and a must eat on every trip. Great food made even better by our waitress Kayleigh who was very patient, friendly, helpful and always smiling. Wish there was an option for more stars.

Went to NOLA in July 2023 & thankfully this gem was around the corner from our VRBO. Went twice, it’s that good! My friend & I shared a Bloody Mary & the sweet bartender put it in two separate glasses for us. The fried green tomatoes are a MUST! Everything we had was perfect and the best breakfast I’ve had in my lifetime! Service is top notch & the staff is incredible!

Visiting from Atlanta. We especially loved the fried green tomatoes (first one ever that my husband liked) and biscuits & gravy were probably the best we’ve had too. Shrimp & grits were okay, nothing too spectacular. Our waiter noticed my husband and I were sharing the food and came over to bring us extra bowls and plates: that small but meaningful attentiveness and initiative during a busy brunch hour made our dining experience that much more pleasant.

More than 1 location, so be sure to book at the right location. It’s a great thing that both locations are approximately 5-6 min walk from each other.

If you like super heavy food, this is the place for you. If not, it’s going to be tough. The servers were super sweet, but the coffee was super weak. It was crowded and loud – a place to go and work off your hangover (I guess). But the food was just not that good. I’m not sure I’ve ever met a shrimp and grits I didn’t like, but these weren’t great. The famous biscuit was over worked and not fluffy. So sorry, but I won’t be back.

Not sure what’s the big hype about this restaurant, I mean, it was average at best. Nothing really special about their breakfast food. Their pancakes were good though. I mean their food was pretty good, I just didn’t get the “WOW” factor from anything I tried..

Everything was fantastic! Taylor B. made it easy for us to select the food that suited our tastes and provided excellent service in a timely manner. The food was perfectly prepared! High quality ingredients, balanced flavors, even consistency, and generous portions.
