If you’re considering a trip to Rigoletto, make it! We came multiple times during our one week stay in the area and miss it already. Authentic & absolutely delicious.

The food and atmosphere is fantastic! Don’t even get me started about the bakery! I can never leave there without some dessert, to eat there or take it home. Love the little gifts things you can purchase there, as well. My whole family loves it, so we go at least once a week. Can’t get enough!

Virginia Beach’s real authentic Italian Bakery. Breakfast, brunch or dinner, the food is profuse and spectacular. My first time here today I opted for the 2 for lunch special consisting of half a panini (I chose Michaelangelo) and house salad with house vinaigrette dressing. The focacio bread was delicious and everything was perfect in combination and quantity. The selection of cakes and deserts was off the charts. I had to choose several to go home with me. The owners were right there to make sure service and food was exemplary. This is definitely worth the trip. Very nice selection of wines as well.

I’m giving them 5 stars for their great selection of mouth-watering desserts! We haven’t tried their items from their menu, but looking forward to doing so in the near future.

The only downside to this place is there are SO many options and you’ll want to try them all so apologize in advance to your wallet and waistline. We enjoyed several pastries, all of them better than the last. My personal favorite from this visit was the hazelnut cake- such a spongey and light cake with a perfect hazelnut icing. The staff was super nice and patient with us (it took me a hot minute to decide what to get, there were FOUR DISPLAY CASES OF BEAUTIFUL BAKED GOODS) and the only reason I’m not coming here every other day is because I live an hour away. I just tried pastries this time but look forward to a visit to their bar as well, lots of Italian classics on their menu. If you haven’t tried it here yet- go!

Unfortunately, this was my first time here with friends. The violinist was a five star, but our server, Alyssa B. was not friendly, she did not give good service, had an attitude with any question we asked, we had to ask another server to clear our appetizer plates because she was busy standing behind the bar chatting with other employees. There were 7 servers and people were waiting constantly for service. This is a small restaurant and 1-2 servers should be able to handle the 9-10 tables easily. They didn’t have the antipasto meat and cheese board available on the wine tasting night??? Alyssa said the owner ran out of the meats and hadn’t ordered it because one of the chefs quit and she was in the kitchen helping the other chef. She brought us all large bills for change so we had to ask her to break it to tip her? She said they didn’t have enough to break them, so guess she was hoping we’d leave her $20 tips for a Pennie’s worth of service. Definitely would consider having a conversation with her on customer service. She doesn’t seem happy to work there. We enjoyed the evening because of the lovely music and good friends but I will not go back to this restaurant or recommend it to anyone. This was a friends second time there, same server, same poor service.

Went for coffee and desert. Both were fine, neither spectacular. Neither reminded me of my time in Italy or France (which is the origination of most of their pastries). We tried two cake flavors, several macarons, and cannoli. Nothing had any authentic flavor at all- tasted the same as a grocery store bakery. Was very disappointed, as everything LOOKED amazing.

THE BEST authentic Italian pastries you’ve ever had! I’m so thankful that Rigoletto’s reopened after their fire. This is my favorite place to buy dessert in Hampton Roads.

Fantastic place! Open 9-3 on Sundays. I had a Choose Your Own scrambler. Breakfast choices are limited after 11 a.m. Perfect size lunch dishes with plenty of mix n match choices. Panini are large & many interesting choices. Italian dishes are garlicky but good. The full bakery is available as well as cappuccinos with 20 some flavor options & bar with brunch specialty drinks. Friendly wait staff & good coffee; we’re going back for a weekday supper.
