We stopped here for lunch on Saturday, August 10, 2019 during a camping trip at Johnson Sauk. It’s a family-style restaurant with a warm, comfortable atmosphere and good food. The view of the lake is also very nice. My daughter had the beer-battered chicken and I had a burger with fries – both of which were very good. The menu isn’t huge, but there’s a decent selection. Don’t expect fast food, as it does take some time for them to prepare the food and they don’t seem to have a lot of help. Still, the lady who waited on us was very pleasant and attentive. My daughter and I shared a delicious piece of strawberry shortcake after lunch and it was refreshing! We would definitely come back again, and I think we would try a piece of pie next time!

This place has gone way down hill. Service was slow- a CHILD less than 12 years old had to take our drink orders and it literally took an hour for breakfast when there were only 4 tables that were being served. My waffle came out cold, so we had to put it in the microwave. If I could give zero stars I would.

Food was good but service is very slow. Long wait time. No one acknowledges you when you come in. Wasn’t clear if you wait to be seated or seat yourself, waited to ask staff, they looked at us but never interacted so we seated ourselves.

Foods good wait staffs ok, preparation time is poor. Room for improvement in the dinning experience. But the view is 5 star.
