Update: I’ve been here three times now. The first two times I had either a pulled pork or brisket sandwich and they were great. One time I had the corn casserole and it was good. But the third time I went, the owner wasn’t there, and I got a pulled pork sandwich. The meat was still good, but they only put about half of what I had before, seemed like more bread than meat. Also the corn casserole was dry and crumbly, I threw most of that away. Very disappointing that third time. So hopefully if you go the right people are there.

I decided to try this little BBQ place and I’M SO GLAD I DID! I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, brisket slider, Mac and cheese (get a big size and thank me later), and a chicken slider. Everything was tender and delicious!! However, my favorite was the brisket and the Mac and cheese. The BBQ sauce was delicious as well. I already can’t wait to go back and get more! I’m so glad I made the stop and you will be too!! *Didn’t take a picture because the food was ate the second it was pulled out of the bag

Piss poor service with a smile. Went at about 2ish meat not done…told me to come back about 3:30 or 4 I waited until 4:30 and it still wasn’t ready. We live a town away and they expect for you to come back yet again! Never have I ever been to a place twice without being served!! They were not overly busy was able to pull right up!! Trying to coax me into coming back a third time…probably not!

the ribs were not cooked long enough and hard to get off the bone. who ever added the spices to the ribs put so much salt they are not edible! we ordered a full rack and we each ate one rib – actually I could only stomach eating half of the rib. my husband and I both agreed they are garbage and we will never go back! The service was excellent and the owners very kind but the food was all terrible! We ordered the ribs, pulled pork and 1/4 chicken. Chicken was smoked and dry and not a lot of meat on the sandwich. Also had the coleslaw that for some reason is bright yellow and was also tossed in the garbage

Was in town on business for two days and decided to stop by. I had the tri-tip sandwich on my first night, which was very good. Went back the 2nd night for the BBQ chicken sandwich. It’s also very good.

Really great food. Finally smoked meats that aren’t all dried out. The wings are so very good. We sampled a lot of their menu and it’s all good. We ate at the food truck parked at Municipal Brew Works. Great beer with great food.

Piggin’ N’ Grinnin’ is my favorite source of barbecue products in the St Joseph area. They have a great variety of menu options, including brisket, chicken quarters and wings, pulled pork and pulled pork tacos, ribs and rib tips along with some really delicious sides like Mac and Cheese, cole slaw, corn, baked beans and dirty Mac. Those items I’ve listed are just a small part of a much larger menu
