Low key restaurant on the Mississipi river with a beautiful view. We went on a Sunday late evening when they had live music and it was very nice and not too busy. All the fried food was really good. The cheese curds are to die for and highly recommended. The broiled chicken and the fries were really good too. The only thing I would not recommend is the cheeseburger or the burger. It was dry, not tasty at all and it came absolutely plain. FYI: They also charged us extra to add lettuce and tomato.

We really like the bartenders and waitress staff! The Reuben eggrolls are unbelievable. They should be entered into a contest anywhere in the country and it would win. Approximately 20 minutes or so drive from the main part of the Twin Cities, so it’s worth a few extra minutes to get the best view and a good vibe on the outdoor patio. The inside portion is a typical older Legion but it’s still good. The outdoor patio, view, and food is fantastic. I’m a fan and you will be too. We drive 30 minutes a lot because of this place. I have so many other options closer but it’s worth the drive. I get a top shelf Margarita, no salt, splash of Grenadine with an orange slice. They make it perfect.

We came here for a friend’s dinner rehearsal and enjoyed a taco bar. We received good service at the bar and the food hit the spot. What made it all better is that I know I’m not in the wedding tomorrow, so that’s 5 stars from me!

A Hastings gem! Closer to the river than anyone else – great views even if the bride traffic is a bit noisy. We did the Monday night build a burger right before the kitchen closed. It was fun to see the wait staff keeping up with all the burger options, as well as onion ring and tater tot substitutions. Everything was above bar food quality – surprisingly great food from nachos to burgers. Lonely Blonde was the featured tap special and was a great pairing. The patio lights were kept off, reducing the potential for skeets, making for a fun ambiance.

Our waitress is the only reason I’d even give a star for this place. Your cooks are not cooks of any kind. I got the broasted chicken let me be clear I asked for ALLL WHITE .as well as your portions are very skimpy at best . And twice they gave me dark meat leg and thigh the first time then they gave me leg and breast the second time and it was raw. What happened to this place it used to be great food and great atmosphere ????? Now it’s garbage food and cooks that look like they haven’t showered in a week with long beards not wearing nets or anything . It’s gross . I will not recommend this place ever nor will I probably ever come back . Whoever runs this place needs to do alot better . Again our waitress was the only reason I am giving this place any stars at all . She was very good and noticed exactly what I did . Then she took it off the bill . We appreciate her very much . Also girlfriends burger way over done and way over seasoned. Soggy bun as well. Also got the sweet potato fries soggy as hell cold and way over done . Point blank you guys need cooks not just bodies . The cooks you have I wouldn’t hire to microwave Ramen. Again seriously disappointed in this place.

If you are looking for one of the best places for Fish on a Friday night you found it! I’ve been coming to this place for years for Friday night fish and this is one of the best. Your choice or deep fried or broiled cod. Included baked beans and coleslaw and baked potato or fries, tots or mashed. Two choices, the senior plate of two pieces of fish or the regular plate of four big pieces. You won’t go hungry here with all the food choices. Grab a beer from the bar and you’re all set with a great view of the river and bridge. (edited review to add correct photo….sorry!)

Had a reservation for a Saturday night so no waiting. Waitress was quick, helpful, and pleasant. 3 of us and tried chicken, fish tacos, and strawberry salad. All were happy with our food. View was outstanding as we sat on patio at sunset. Love to go back.

Food is great and keep coming back for that alone. Service sucks tho not going to lie. Bartenders have zero urgency. Like other reviews, we constantly have to sit and wait 15 minutes before being acknowledged. Once again the food is great in my opinion. But the bartenders ruin the vibe. The bald bigger guy is great. The older lady bartenders would rather chat with the regulars about their weekend than actually work.
