One of my favorite places at the mall. Not only is their food great and convenient but it’s also surprisingly fresh for a chain. Of course, the baguette is a must have as their apples are always a little subpar. The pastries are fresh and delicious always and the workers are so friendly.

Happy this is the second week in a row that they accepted cash for the entire week in compliance with NJ law. Check your orders as the kitchen printer does not mirror the receipt from the register especially if you pay $6 for a bagel with extra cream cheese as you simply won’t get it. The cashier receipts say accuracy matters but if they are out of something like a soup they still let you order it and try to get you to substitute. Otherwise the staff is genuinely great and the place is nice and quiet. If you see a young lady assistant manager, you are in great hands and it shows why she is “employee of the month “

Amazing place to spend some hours over the weekend. Pretty decent menu with lot of options. We tried four cheese pizza, greek salad, home style chicken noodle soup, ten vegetable soup and unlimited hazelnut coffee. Hazelnut coffee is Ok if you want it with milk as the milk is cold and spoils the whole taste if you want hot coffee. Pizza is tongue smacking. Greek salad is superb. Soup bowls are nice concept with French Baguette but it can be better. Soups are for one time trial worthy but pizza and salad you can enjoy any number of times. Register with panera bread app and get 3 months of membership and unlimited select beverages for free. Enjoy

They train their cashiers to quickly take your money… but then I had to wait about 20 minutes to get my food. And when I did, my order was wrong. I don’t blame the workers; the workers were selected by their Management, who clearly hire only the cheapest they can find, and don’t even train them well. They will NEVER get my business again, NOR will I ever use them for our office meetings. We are Done with them! Learn how to run a business.

I ordered the Cabrese baguette to go. The sandwich was pretty much all bread with almost nothing inside. I’ve been ripped off before but this sandwich was a joke. I ordered extra tomatoes and there were only 2 very thin slices of tomatoes on the sandwich. It looked like there was no mozzarella in the sandwich but after inspecting it further, there were very small shreds of mozzarella hiding in between the arugula. The pic you see on the website is a far cry from what you will receive. The sandwich tasted like straight up baguette with arugula and green goddess dressing. I will not be back. If you are reading this review I strongly suggest you go to your local Jersey Mike’s for a delicious sandwich where you get what you pay for. Don’t waste your time or money at Panera.

I went into the Panera Bread in Newport Mall on June 14, 2023 and ordered a pizza and drink. Once I received my order I wanted to wash my hands, you know because I just came from outside, and I was going to eat my pizza, but was told I couldn’t use the bathroom that it was only for the workers. Since I haven’t been there since covid started, I was unaware of this. I said to the workers in an angry tone, how is this possible with covid still running rapidly? I will admit even though the staff seemed shocked I didn’t want to eat with dirty hands, I said I wanted a refund because I didn’t want to carry the pizza home. I will also say the staff was very calm and refunded my money. I know that a lot of people really think covid is over and no longer find it necessary to wash their hands or never washed them from the beginning, but I’m not one of those people. Anyway I found out the hard way. I saw a few customers eating inside, maybe they used hand sanitizer. Their choice, I need soap and water.
