Popped in for a quick lunch. Acknowledged and seated immediately. Hostess was cordial. My server was very attentive and professional. Initially ordered an Arnold Palmer with unsweetened tea. After advising it wasn’t good I ordered a Pepsi with grenadine. It was perfect. Chips and salsa were brought out pretty quickly. The tortilla soup was made with fresh guacamole slices and the chicken was very tender. It was seasoned well and the rice was tender. I ordered the beef quesadillas and I enjoyed them. The steak was delicious. I ordered the beef enchilada special to go. My daughter said it was really good. Price was reasonable. Service was really good

I’m afraid it was a very slow start after we walked into the restaurant. The floors and a lot of the tables were dirty. It appeared there were two servers and maybe one who helped when he felt like it. Some who came in after us gave up and left. The salsa had more onion than salsa. The food is good, when you get it.

We had the pleasure of eating at On The Border Grill & Cantina with friends and family and had a pleasant experience. Our server’s name was Grace and she provided exceptional customer service. She was very timely with ensuring our drinks stayed topped off at the table and kept checking to see if we needed anything. She was very friendly and down to earth and made us feel welcomed and showed she was enjoying being a server until she reached the next chapter in her life. The food was good and inexpensive and the atmosphere was nice. I would recommend this On The Border Grill & Cantina if your in Cedar Hill.

This was our first visit at this location. Our experience was awesome. We were immediately seated when we walked in the door. Our waitress was very courteous, and she took our drink orders. and the proceeded to take our dinner order. Our food was brought out piping hot and freshly cooked. The atmosphere was great, the service, and the food was very food. We definitely will return to the Cedar Hill location.

Our waiter was the bartender name Isiah. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed ourselves. The team did a good job. There only con to sitting outside was the ants, but hey it is outside were food is dropped. The food was good. We had chicken and cheese quesadillas and chicken strips. Great place for lunch or early dinner. Thank you Isiah…your job isn’t easy!

On the border is new to area and they sent coupons. There was a 30 minute wait for a table. Have been to an OTB in the past so taste expectations were not great. Food is ok, service was good. There was an issue with the coupon and the manager fixed it. When you go understand food is not authentic Mexican. Has real American twist. I would say the food is like fast food. As long as you go in with the right expectations you won’t be disappointed.

Let’s start with 1 thin slice of avocado on my entree … (see attached pic) I asked for more and was brought 3 EXTREMELY THIN SLICES of avocado … Even the server was mortified ….I used a $10 Welcome coupon and thank god I did … Because my $9.49 piece of Trés Leches cake was so small I was appalled…. Their signature monthly drink was out of stock for 3 weeks … Black raspberry margarita….15 minute wait due to all the dirty tables that had to be bussed …No visit by the manager to apologize … Better step up their game with all the Mexican restaurants in Cedar Hill if they intend to be around …

I just had a graduation celebration at the location in Cedar Hill and EVERYTHING from working with Amy, the manager, that helped me with getting the patio reserved to selecting the food that was absolutely delicious to accommodating me the day of allowing me to come in a little early to setup and checking on me to make sure I didn’t need anything. That was EXCELLENT service from the beginning. John, the Bar Manager, was also helpful from the beginning when I came to the restaurant for the first time. Both showed great leadership. Our server, Stephanie, was EVERYTHING! She also provided EXCELLENT service from the moment she was introduced to me advising that she would be taking care of my party. Stephanie took care of the entire party. She serviced us with a professional attitude and prompt service. I can’t think of nothing that she did not do and everyone was satisfied with her service. She serviced over 30 people all by herself and a great job performed by her. Thanks to management and staff for making my son’s graduation celebration just perfect. We will be back and definitely a party on the patio!

My family took me to this restaurant for my Birthday. We arrived on a weekday around 5 pm. The hostesses offered us seating in the bar. They claimed they did not have waitresses on duty in restaurant area to serve us. During our entire visit we were constantly and I mean constantly fanning away flies or gnats. We actually had to cover our food with napkins. Take a bite, recover. It was disgusting! Our waitress was pleasant and consistent. The food, in and of itself was hot and looked appealing and actually tasted good. I was just worried that if we we so inundated with insects, what must the kitchen be like. Will I return? Not likely.
