AMAZING is putting it lightly. I have not had this good of a meal in a very long time. It’s not even “fancy” food and I don’t think that’s what they’re trying to be – just really, REALLY good food. I had the creamy tomato basil soup which was honestly the best I’ve ever had, and the brick chicken which was incredible. We had Melissa as our server which made it all the more special.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Melissa’s on Friday night, July 14th. The inside was full, so we took a table outside. The breeze felt good and the traffic wasn’t loud at all. My wife got the coconut passionfruit margarita which she raved about. I got a Good Earth IPA, which was great. We split the snowflake buns which were delicious. They come with honey butter (for spreading) and olive oil (for dipping). My wife got the salmon stuffed with crabmeat and I got the NY strip sirloin. Both meals were excellent and both were served over a potato cream sauce. We were too full for any desserts.

Great new restaurant! A much needed delicious addition to the local food scene here. Quaint, well decorated and incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. Win/win on all fronts. I highly recommend giving Melissa’s a try and don’t miss the snowflake rolls with the two choices to spread or dip it in. Either infused butter or herbed olive oil, both delicious!

OUTSTANDING!! This place exceeds the five star rating. From the warm wait staff to the kitchen staff’s creativity and skill, Melissa’s is our go-to when we visit Delaware. The attention to detail in the menu choices is unmatched, and it’s clear how much pride is poured into the food as soon as you take your first bite. The owner Melissa is a total sweetheart, and she treats you like family from start to finish. I’ve been lucky enough to have tried an array of different drink, app, dinner and dessert options, all I can say is that no matter what you decide on you will NOT be disappointed. Shhhh! Don’t let anyone else know about this neighborhood gem so we can keep getting reservations…seriously though, this restaurant is a great addition to our town. Bravo Melissa for bringing wonderfully creative and fresh dinner and drink options to us locals. We chose Melissa’s for our baby shower this past weekend, and it was absolutely wonderful! Melissa was very responsive and great to work with, and put together a wonderful menu. So many of our guests raved about the food. The space was just what we were looking for – intimate, authentic, and relaxed, with amazing food and drink.
