I called Louisiana home for most of my life. When I grew up and moved away to start life in Oregon with my husband, I loved the change! Everything felt new and exciting, but I found myself feeling like it didn’t exactly feel like home yet. Racking my brain for how to bring a slice of my hometown to my new one, it struck me! I wanted to bring back the taste of the years spent in my Maw Maw’s kitchen whipping up some of our favorite dishes. Not only did I want to do that for myself, but for every hungry Oregonian out there! First time to this cart location. The time the Cajun Cart opens is a little confusing but they opened after 1PM on a Friday. My family has long connection with LA cooking so was anxious to try. Had the catfish platter. potato salad and red beans and rice, two hush puppies. Good memories there of my mother in laws cooking. Everything cooked to order and great owner/service. This is not over spiced Cajun food.just right for NW natives. They could probably spice it up if asked?

This was our first time coming here. Ordered the catfish platter and it was very flavorful, hot, and crispy. The potato salad was the best I’ve ever had and the mustard greens tasted rich. The owner was nice and funny. You can tell a lot of care and passion goes into their business. Highly recommend!

Maw Maw’s was a great southern experience. Both the food and the host made me feel as though I was in my grandfather’s kitchen being fed and entertained as he often did. Great southern hospitality and the most delicious, golden hush puppies (second only to my grandfather), which is no easy task. Definitely recommend a visit and grabbing any menu item with a side of “additional” hush puppies.

Food was delicious. There was a glitch with our order. So, it took somewhere around an hour and a half to get our food. But, the staff made an effort to correct their mistakes. In spite of the wait we had a great meal.

I was raised in a small town in Texas and had been desperately looking for a place that reminded me of home lately and this was spot on. I ordered the catfish platter with mustard greens and coleslaw and every bite tasted like nostalgia. I asked for extra sauce and they even gave me more than enough with a hand written note . I don’t review stuff ever because most people are here to complain but it was really bad….so here I am to complain*(Customer service was fine)*… Chicken was dry, rice was crazy over cooked and I had 2 tiny pieces of andouille in my jambalaya . Hope I caught them on an off day and I’ll give it another try because I love chicken and andouille jambalaya and was excited to get it in town.

The food and service here are always amazing! I love the atmosphere and the care they put into everything! Everytime i have the jambalaya and gumbo, its always fantastic! Expect a long wait, because on nice days there are people lining up all the way around the cart, understand that there are many orders being taken and that the food you’ll get is worth it!!

Good Cajun food cart at the Corner 14 food cart pod. I ordered the combo plate to get a sample of everything. Food was all good. Pro tip – pour the gumbo on the jambalaya and mix in some extra hot sauce…BOOM! Cajun heaven. Fast and friendly service.

Posting 2 people’s orders: Jambalaya(my primary visit want) was a minimum 15 minute delay, so I was unable to order in the time avbl. This and recent weather heat are most likely part of why it is advised to call in orders before arriving. Cashier has option for paper receipt, but only told no paper after choosing this option on payment screen. Forced to have receipt texted or e-mailed to me or have no receipt.
