Rose’s Daughter, American Trattoria serves hand crafted, made-from-scratch, Neapolitan pies in a rustic pizza oven, plus homemade pastas, charcuterie, cheeses, plus dishes from her mom’s original Italian menu. “Linda Rose’s Sunday Dinner” The restaurant vibe is friendly, familial and the décor is infused with an authentic, New York “burrough,” Italian aesthetic – white subway tile, walls lined with art, and black and white family photos. The eatery features an outdoor patio, full bar and Bastardo’s, a late-night courtyard for music and cocktails.

But wander a little off Atlantic into Pineapple Grove and you’ll find this little gem that’s quickly become one of my favorites.
A few things up front:
1. They don’t take reservations, as others have noted. So… go early, or if you have to wait a bit, don’t turn into a Karen. The food is worth the wait.
2. Indoor and outdoor seating.
3. The bar has a solid whiskey and gin lineup. Monkey 47 on the shelf is an automatic win in my book.
4. Speaking of the bar, one request, please: for the love of parmigiana, remove one barstool from the long side. The stools are so close together it feels like you’re sharing a bench seat in a ’57 Eldorado, trying not to elbow your neighbor into their marinara.
Now let’s talk about the food: there’s really only one way to describe it, and that’s “fantastic.” The homemade pasta is to-die-for, portions are huge, and Rose’s blows away those “legacy” Ave spots that still manage to pay the rent thanks to their name and the snowbirds who think a semi-mediocre $47 bowl of spaghetti and meatballs is five-star.
If you want great Italian without the Ave circus, this is the place to go.
My personal faves: the chicken and the massive bone-in veal chop parm, both paired with some of that delicious homemade pasta. You really can’t go wrong!
For our mains, we shared the Frutti di Mare and the Beef Tagliata, and both were exceptional. The Frutti di Mare was packed with fresh seafood — shrimp, calamari, mussels, and lobster — in a rich, flavorful tomato sauce that was perfectly balanced married with squid ink pasta. The Beef Tagliata was melt-in-your-mouth tender, served over creamy risotto with mushrooms and herbs that tied everything together wonderfully.
For dessert, we couldn’t resist the blueberry-topped cheesecake and cannoli, both of which were the ideal sweet ending — the cheesecake was light yet rich, and the cannoli had that perfect crispy shell and creamy filling.
The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the cozy, rustic atmosphere made the whole experience feel intimate and special. Rose’s Daughter is a top dining spot in Delray Beach — authentic, thoughtful, and absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back and already have our next meal mapped out!
Note- no reservations.
Our cocktails were also incredible, definitely try the white Negroni if you’re a fan of
Elderflower and gin!!! Service was excellent as well, we cannot wait to return here next time we’re in Florida
Stopped by with the family with reservations as soon as the restaurant opened for dinner and we were seated promptly near the back of the restaurant, which provided some excellent privacy for our group. Service was fantastic and our food came out very quickly. I cannot recommend the chicken piccata enough. One of the best chicken piccata dishes I’ve ever had. In addition, the pineapple grove Hawaiian pizza and Margherita pizza were incredible. The sauce and crust were fantastic! Also highly recommend the calamari and zucchini fritti antipasto!
If you’re in the Delray area, this restaurant is a must!
Updated 8/1/25: Came back and we were once again impressed by the incredible food, drinks and service here. Our server Shannan was the best and made sure we had a fantastic dinner. The charcuterie board, arancini and chicken piccata were phenomenal!
Place sounded very good from reviews, adjacent diners picked over their food as well. Server spent little time, tried to serve dishes out of order. Food was curious. No bread served – only a charge item for some special bread.
Wines 3x retail
A salad item was drowned beyond recognition with sweet basalmic. Heirloom tomatoes scant, nice buratta though overall a big miss, especially with no bread to clear the palate.
Lobster ravioli was an unpleasant mélange of textures with an unknown completely flavorless crunch added, I scraped off as much as possible.
Cheesecake topping was about as exciting as frozen strawberries. Ice cream on the side (?) surrounded by crumbled something.
This restaurant does not understand balance nor textures.
Surprise extra (3%) credit card charge, these are such BS. Even AMEX charges no more than 1.25% if you the business negotiate. I refuse to pay these.
Too many points to discuss, no I did not mention any as I’m never to return
Sadly – meh
Maybe I ordered badly, no second chance though
