10/10 best shave ice in my lifetime. The price is worth the amount you get! Can definitely share one but we got two, one with soft serve and one with boba. Amazing. The soft serve really calms down the sweetness. SO GOOD.

One of our favorite places for shave ice on the island! The snow here is so soft and the syrups are great. You can also add matcha soft serve to any of the items! We also got a red bean mochi.

I loved that Matcha-Ya was super clean, the workers were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the Acai Berry Bowl. The berries were incredible with so much flavor. The granola was fresh. My son had a fruit shake and loved it.

Delicious smoothies and drinks ! We tried the salted caramel macchiato, sparkling strawberry lemonade refresher and mango pineapple smoothie . All were excellent. The staff was very friendly, patient and explained items without rushing. Will definitely visit more often when in the area .

So yummy! I love their boba fruit drinks. So many to chose from. And their shave ice is the Best! The ice is fluffy and makes shave ice like no other. Plus, don’t miss the Japanese honey sweet potatoes. They’re roasted and kept warm on display waiting for you to enjoy. Delicious!

My first clue should have been their little countertop flavor list referring to the product as “Shaved” Ice. Tons of great looking stuff on the menu but we were taken advantage of by not being asked what size shave ice we wanted. The gal automatically charged us for the largest size they have. Aside from the fact it cost over $25 for the 3 servings we looked absolutely ridiculous all holding our own giant servings. Well over half of what we unwilling paid for ended up in the trash. Very disappointed. Skip this one & go to Wailua Shave Ice next to Safeway.

Super delicious sweet treats! My wife and I got a mango and strawberry shaved ice with condensed milk on top; absolutely delicious! This was also the first restaurant/store on Kauai I have been to that was taking every safety precaution for COVID-19; we’ve been two of only a handful of people we’ve seen on the island wearing masks, so it was refreshing to go to a place that asked you to sanitize your hands before and after paying, AND all the employees were wearing masks. 10/10 would recommend!

Shaved ice is out of this world!!! The saved ice I’ve had throughout my life had been nasty and loaded with syrup. These are nothing like that, the shaved ice is like a snow powder texture that is almost fluffy. The flavors are delicious and they put a good amount of actual fruit in this. I got a smoothie the other day and it was delicious as well, I got berry berry smoothie

unfortunately today the boba is uncooked on the inside, not just undercooked, inside is hard and starchy. Iedible. When I told the girls, they just stared at me in silence, not even offering an apology….

I have been on a quest in Hawaii to find the shave ice I had while an exchange student in Japan a decade ago now. This place gave me one better, something even nicer than what I had way back then. Even without the nostalgia, though, if you want a great shave ice, soft serve ice cream, or a combination of the above, I don’t know if there could be a better spot in the islands for it. Thank you very much, Matcha Ya!
