I know I hasn’t fully experience the place yet. But it is a good place to go of course. This is a good Mexican restaurant, I can feel it. That is because I will never give less than four star on a place which I am not even try out with experience which judgement needs an answer. An known experience to the fine answers. So I give five star is good enough to say, place is not suck. Not bad at least.

When you walk in it is a Hispanic grocery store on one side restaurant on the other. The waitress was nice. Right off bat the chips were a little stale and the salsa was runny and lacked flavor. The food to me was below average. I eat out a lot due to how much I travel and this was by far the worst Mexican food I have had. It was edible but I was Not impressed at all.

For any gringos that have not tried this place, this review is for you! Maybe you will wait 30 minutes at rush times but it is authentic! NOT a chain in a world of chain restaurants. Very casual. People were really nice to me even though I was the “outsider” in there. Outsider meaning I do not speak Spanish well and their English is perfect. Music is loud and lively. The one waitress was very busy so I went and sat myself (might have added to my wait time) and you pay at the grocery register that you can’t miss near exit/entrance. Went for Saturday togo lunch when it was almost full except for patio and got served my to go order of carne asade and whole fried fish in 20 to 25 minutes. My Life 360 app said I was there a total of 35 minutes but I was not in a rush. I parked in lot to right of Los Girasoles with other patrons and had no problems getting in or out.

We always get treated so nice at this store even if we have to drive 30 minutes to get to it. It is very worth it! Good quality of food and not as expensive as other Mexican stores.

Mexican restaurant and a small adjoining market that serves up tasty food. So far the best tasting Mexican food that I have found in Knoxville.

Mostly authentic Mexican food. A laid back, casual place, with friendly staff and reasonable prices. The only things I didn’t care for was the menu was in Spanish only (not a lot of white customers. I was always the only one), and the Mexican music, that pretty much sounds like the same song over and over, was always WAY too loud. If you ask me though, those were two small prices to pay for the perks of everything else in the place. I never checked it out, but there’s a Hispanic grocery store in the place too. Looked to me like a lot of good stuff, but as I said I never really checked it out.

They have excellent food, it’s authentic Mexican. We go there at least twice a week. I’m vegan and they are very accommodating to adjust my plates accordingly. There are lots of vegan options, because you can put beans on everything! Even their guacamole is vegan!!! (Almost all the Mexican restaurants in Knoxville put sour cream in their guacamole)

Was surprised to see that this was not only a true Mexican restaurant but also a Mexican grocery store. The food was very authentic and everything we ordered was amazing and the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food you got.
