Don’t get me wrong… I love The Little Bear Saloon. But I did not love the experience this last Saturday night to see The Railbenders. First of all, when I pay to see a band, I expect to be able to see the band. We arrived a hour early, and there were only a couple of “seats” left. I use the term seats loosely. They were a couple of benches, not really made for sitting… very uncomfortable, in the far back of the upstairs. Even if we could have seen the stage from there, there were so many people who were standing in the aisle, there was no way to see the band. I can only wonder what the fire department would think about the number of people blocking the access. It really seemed like tickets were oversold, because it was obvious there were more people there than the place could handle. It was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve had in a long time. And frankly, the band, although obviously loved by the crowd, didn’t seem better than bands like Mountain Magic. So we left early. Doubtful we will ever buy tickets for another band. But we will be back to see Mountain Magic!!

Iconic bar and certainly a people watching place. We always have a good time when we go to check out a local band playing.

Nice bar with attitude. You have to go in to feel the rustic environment. Dollar Bill’s staples to the walls and bras hanging from the ceiling. A full stage for music. I found that many of the chairs wobbled. Very pleasant place to have a beverage. Staff was friendly. Worth stopping in. Didnt eat the food but did see what people were ordering.

Walked in after a hike. Music was great. Ordered nachos with a beer. It was great. Place has a smell, but it’s old so no real complaints

Review is just for a ticketed show at the LittleBear. Drinks are fine but come with a line. Sound was great but the band had some mics that went out.

If you are looking for a good, literal, dive bar, this is it!

This is a very nostalgic bar with lots of character both on the walls and in the people. I don’t live in Evergreen but decided to make the drive up for a band that I liked and was really glad that I did. The people were very welcoming and didn’t make me feel like an outsider. There was cover charge for a band that I usually see for free so that kind of surprised me. Therefore, I probably won’t go back. But if you don’t mind paying money to get in it’s well worth the drive. Oh and the bartenders know how to make a stiff drink so I was very appreciative of that.

Typical old school dive bar – old license plates on the wall with dollar bills everywhere. Plastic silverware and cups with packet condiments. We had a burger and patty melt – and it was ok…they just opened yesterday so they were out of a lot of things but that will improve. It was nice to hear live music again as well.

This is one of the front range hidden gems. It has a rustic charm, food, and a descent beer selection. What I enjoy most is live music in the afternoons on weekends.

Fun place! Food and staff are wonderful! I got the melt, but my husband got the Buffalo burger and would not quit talking about how good it was! My dish, as well, was devoured. Was a little disappointed there wasn’t more onions on my melt, the description made it sound like there was a lot of onions piled on it (which I LOVE), but for those who don’t like many onions it would have been perfect for them! 🙂 Fun stop, would definitely stop again if I’m in town!
