Social Profile:

Starting from humble beginnings, Jerk At Nite started in a dorm serving to students at Howard University. After busy late night hours for 2 years a Food truck was obtained. The next year a 2nd food truck was added and the next year we began the process of obtaining our first Brick and mortar location. Bringing a Jamaican twist on old recipes from the islands we invite you to try our exotic flavors that have warmed the hearts of thousands in our community.

Drove almost 40 mins to get here, I got the jerk chicken tacos and the “Di Yaddie” with a side of Mac and cheese . The jerk tacos were delicious! I put a little bit of Mac and cheese on top and it hit the spot . It filled me up so I’ll have to wait to try the “Di yaddie” But the tacos were so juicy and flavorful I highly recommend, It was with it and I will be coming back 🙂

If you like Jamaican food, this a spot you have to check out. The service.from the staff was amazing. A good mix of food to choose from so it was a tough decision but everything we tried was great!

As a Howard University alum, I just want to start off by saying how proud I am at how far this restaurant has come. I remember when they were delivering in the dorms back in 2015-2016. I was super excited that I had the opportunity to order while I was visiting. Again, very impressed. The Di Yaddie, which is was one of the original menu items, was delicious. Very flavorful and filling. I ordered a side of the Mac and Cheese which was also amazing. My friend got the Rasta Pasta and it had great spice as well as flavor. I just stuck with the the classics but am looking forward to my next visit where I can try more of the their menu items. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!

Food was Average! Reason I am leaving 2 stars is because the oxtail meal I got… pieces were very small! Not sure if that’s how they cut it or we just got bottom of the batch. Attached is some pictures. Quantity was good but the price we paid per oxtail order does not suffice to small pieces. $26 per order should have larger pieces of meat and not so small and bony. Oxtail has bones which we love but the meat to bone ratio was not ok with the cost.

Rice was undercooked, everything was full of pepper..jerk I can understand but not the rice, Mac and cheese aaaaand the cabbage. To make matters worse the cabbage was as if they cut it up and placed it on my plate raw it was so hard! The jerk chicken had no Smokey flavor just soggy with what taste like store brand jerk sauce on it. Cilantro and hard peppers and onions cut up all over everything.the coco bread a slice of white bread would have been a step up. 100% waste of my time and money.

The jerk had white sauce on it and it didn’t taste like jerk, it tasted like barbecue chicken from a grill and it was very expensive for the small portions that they serve. I would not be eating at this place again. I had to recook my food with jerk sauce because it didn’t have any jerk sauce on it and the food was Luke warm not good at all.
