This was a great first-time experience at Janie’s Place. Janie, the owner, and her staff are worker bees. They are all over the place, making sure the customers are happy and cared for. I had the burger and fried okra and my wife and turkey sandwich, but the turkey was freshly cut and small pieces and was hot. My wife really liked it, too. We will be back.

We’ve been here several times and always have had wonderful food and service! Janie is awesome! She’s the hardest working person I’ve ever seen. First time customers and I have to say this place was great. The food was delicious and we will definitely go back. I’m not sure if she’s the owner but the lady who was sitting customers, taking orders, doing drinks, getting the food and basically doing a little bit of everything with her Mother did a fantastic job. The restaurant was super busy but service was fantastic. I had the surf and turf and my husband had a Bacon Cheese Burger. Our drinks stayed filled and we had great service. Definitely recommend to others for a wonderful local restaurant.

We decided to sit on the outside patio. As we wait for our meal…the smell of smoked meats slowly creeps inside and just makes the experience so much better. I got the fried scallops. They were amazing!!! Also got the beans and cornbread to start, it filled me up. My vegan gf got fresh veggies and fried potatoes. We had so much food it took three boxes to take home. I’m not 100% sure, but I believe our server was the actual Janie. She was awesome! Great service and very friendly. We will definitely be back here.

I don’t know why we haven’t tried this place out before today! It was really good! Country cookin at its finest! I got the crab cakes and my husband got the country fried steak! Both meals were great! I would love to try out more menu items and the homemade desserts sometime!

Great food and great service. We had the fried pickles, patty melt and clam strips. All were delicious but those pickles may be the best in town. It was our first time there, but will definitely be back to try more. And always check the fresh cake (today was lemon with cream cheese icing)

Me and my husband came here for the first time today. I am 100% satisfied. The food was on point. We ordered their 12oz T-bone steak dinner it comes with 2 sides and asked it be cooked medium rare. It was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is friendly and gives you that local hole in the wall amazing gem kind of feel. Staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. It is really like sitting at a family event with all the cousins. I’m returning on payday for sure they will now forever have my business. Will highly recommend to everyone I see. If your wanting something with great food good company and amazing staff this is your joint to go to.

Okay so listen, we came across this restaurant by accident, an man am I glad we did. So I had the hamburger steak with green peppers, onions, mushrooms and brown gravy. With that I had mashed potatoes and corn. I also got a side salad with ranch of course. Listen when I tell you it was so good, I’m not even exaggerating. Our waitress was Janie, she took care of us like royalty. Even the other waitress was amazing. My partner had the chicken dumplings with corn and tater tots. Our experience here has made it clear we will definitely be returning.
