We really like this little diner Janie was running around working hard & making sure that every detail was on point. I had the chicken livers YUMMY ! They have REAL mashed potatoes. Apple pie with ice cream !

First time here at Janie’s Place and looking forward to all the next times! Their menu is outstanding, the food portions are HUGE, and the quality is like eating in granny’s kitchen. Then the dessert, the cake, oh Lord! It’s so moist and delicious! Also, this has to be cleanest restaurant I’ve ever seen! Love Janie and her staff! Definitely top notch!

There is plenty of parking and easy access. This place is very busy because it serves excellent home-cooked food. It is also super duper clean and spotless! The chicken and dumplings, fried okra, corn, fish, macaroni and cheese, and mashed potatoes with gravy were off-the-chain good! Five out of Five Stars! Great Customer Service! Janie and her brother were fantastic, friendly, and super nice! It is a happening place to be and enjoy the Elvis memorabilia.

I went to school and worked with Janie many years ago….my husband and I decided to go try out the food here at her establishment….We were pleasantly surprised from the moment we walked in the door. Janie greeted us like we were family. The atmosphere was relaxing and everyone was busy actually working. If I hadn’t known better, I would have assumed that Janie was one hell of a waitress….she was always a go getter from what I can remember. It is just very rare to see an owner of a business to actually jump in and work just as hard as her employees. Our drinks were delivered promptly as we looked over the menu. Pete got the chicken tenders and green beans and said, “that was the best he’s ever had”. I got the hickory smoked barbecue with pinto beans and fried taters with onions. And let me just tell you that I savored every bite. The portions were enormous and the flavor was definitely home-made. We will definitely be back again and Ive already been bragging on yall n how everyone needs to try it!! Keep up the great work….

Our retirement cuisine tour continued in Bristol, TN, today with lunch at Janie’s Place! It was beyond yummy! We immensely enjoyed the hospitality, service, and amazing food. The catfish is amazing! The BBQ is smoked by Janie’s husband and it was delicious! Leave room for dessert because the apple pie was the best we’ve ever had! Janie’s Place is now a must-stop for us when traveling through Bristol!

This is a must stop for everyone. I’m from KY and doing an event at the speedway and stopped here for food. The restaurant is clean and comfy atmosphere. I got a sides sampler with Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans, slaw and fried corn. All were delicious. My husband got the seafood platter and said the fish and crab cakes were excellent. Drinks are large and they bring large containers of condiments so you have plenty . I can’t recommend this place enough.

I travel alot. I eat at a lot of locally owned restaurants. This is the only one that I met the owner and realized that the people come for the food, but they stay for her. I had the chicken tenders, delicious, they’re hand breaded in house and they were HUGE! Janie was my waitress and she was so caring for everyone she came near. She has a wonderful personality. There were alot of regulars that came in and she knew them all by name. Eat here!
