Food is terrible! Do not get the catfish. Fillets broke apart and not an ounce of crispness. No flavor to the fish, soggy fries, bland coleslaw. Also not the first time I’ve had bad food here. From the chicken fried steak to the seafood, all just heated up frozen food, and not even done well at that. Have given several attempts and similar experiences. I’ve learned my lesson. Will never visit this business again.

Small Town restaurant vibes. It did get busy and this is a good sign that the establishment must be doing something right. This was my first time eating here and I was in town visiting some friends. I ordered the fried shrimp and they were very good. The oil used was clean as the shrimp did not have any old oil taste. I am sure some people will understand what I mean. I had fries and a salad as my aides and they were good as well. We did try the jalapeno poppers and these were very good, made with cheddar cheese. Our table was pleasantly surprised that the poppers were so good.

The fried fish and shrimp are simply mouth watering delicious! And you can’t go wrong with the combination shrimp & chicken fried rice. We always enjoy eating here for great seafood in a small town!

Great restaurant find in a Hallettsville. This restaurant has fast friendly service with good food at reasonable prices. They are fairly new restaurant that is less than a year old. The building is clean & newly renovated. We had their catfish with coleslaw, fries and salad. We also had hush puppies. It was all very good and plenty to eat. They also serve a wide variety of other food in case someone in your family doesn’t want seafood. They also have some Chinese dishes, Cajun dishes along with typical hamburger and fries. So next time we go back, maybe we will try another type of cuisine.

This is a cozy, quaint restaurant. It has booths, which I like. The service was excellent. I ordered only 1 dish, so that’s not much for a review. The sweet tea was good. The onion rings were over cooked, not way so but somewhat imo. I would really like to return and try other dishes.

Pleasant, fast server. Great Cheeseburger. Very nice (surprising because it used to be a full service gas station) inside. Looks like it was recently totally remodeled. And lots of varied dining spaces.

We went here just after oyster season, so no oysters. I had shrimp, and my wife wanted oysters but settled for a burger and gumbo. The burger was outstanding. The gumbo was delicious. The shrimp was delicious and fresh. We also had peel and eat shrimp, great also. All in all, an outstanding meal. In my book, you really have to go out of your way to get a 5. I’ll give a 5+ if you earn it. Good place to eat.

Ordered jumbo fried shrimp. Have never seen shrimp beaten so flat. Guessing they were large and beat beyond recognition to appear jumbo.
