I wish this would have been worth my 60 dollars but I was highly disappointed, especially because the ratings for this place is 4.0! I had the “spicy” Island Roll, Room 219 mixed drink and the Chicken & Shrimp hibachi meal. The soup was the onion soup that I thought aaa supposed to come with fried onions & green onions, but you see I only had one. My drink came 1st and the appearance was amazing I thought, plus I could smell the liquor or so I thought. It tasted like fruit peels that had been soaked in liquor, strained and served to me. As you see from the picture my drink was missing the fruit, but they got a 4 star. Didn’t say sorry we’re out of it or nothing. I also asked for extra napkins when I gave my drink order, after I got my drink, after I ordered my meal and you know when I got the extra napkin…. When the guy brought me my sushi roll. My waitress was not attentive at all and was all over the place ducked off. She didn’t offer me a glass of water nor checked on me when she did walk by to go chat with the other guests. As you see it was not many there and I was the last patron to be served for today. The sushi was lovely looking but not spicy at all. I specifically ordered it because it was noted as HOT. Even with the wasabi it was not at all hot. My 1y grand baby could have ate it. The hibachi had pieces of cubed potatoes in it which was new for me. The yumyum sauce was thin and didn’t give what a person be looking for in their yumyum sauce! The rice was not the traditional white rice that’s fried, but the short grain rice that kinda pops. I liked it. The Shinto was cooked great but tasted fishy. When it was time to pay I then saw my waitress whom got the payment and eventually brought a take out plate for my food I just could not eat. I wasn’t given a set of utensils nor a carry out bag to put my plate in. I had to wait until she popped back out. As I stood up to look for someone else to get a bag from so I could leave, I see her waking back inside the restaurant from a side door. I can say the place was clean, but then again it was not much going on when I got there. I wish I had of just ordered DoorDash or went to one of the many nearby restaurants instead; spent less and probably would’ve had a much better meal. I am confused at the ratings because I pride myself on doing detailed reviews that’s truthfully accurate as I don’t play about my hard earned $$ and I want others to not be fooled like I was. I beat these highways down, risking my life to deliver a service to companies all over the globe, so when I get a chance to explode a place I’m staged at, I make sure I leave a tip and my review.

This place has had a bad reputation in the past but we have been here 3 times since the re opening and have not been disappointed. The only down side has been some times service has been slow but that’s more of a staffing issue than anything else. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. We have sat at a table once and hibachi twice. All three times the food was great. The hibachi this last time was less of a show and more cooking, for some that isn’t necessarily a bad thing I understand. The sushi has always been good when I have gotten it here. Overall I do recommend this place.

Originally intended to go to a different Japanese restaurant for sushi but they were closed so we stopped by here and we were so glad we did.
Wednesday is 1/2 off sushi so each person in our party ordered our weight in sushi. Each roll was tasty and fresh. Only wish they served hot green tea though…
The bento box was HUGE and their creme brulee is yummy as well.
Judith was our waitress – she was hilarious and really attentive. Definitely will come back!

Highlander This I’ll Defend
Very expensive. They soaked the plate in teriyaki sauce. A bit loud with the music playing. Noodles were under cooked. Rice had no flavor, aside from the overpowering teriyaki. Place looks like it’s trying to be a night club.

Pretty good sushi. I like the smaller rolls the most, the fancy ones are so filling. The yum yum and crystal shrimp are great. Especially if your not into raw fish texture. The eel roll is my favorite. Grilled eel is very tasty. The one in Bowling Green is really good if your in that area. Really convenient if your in one of the hotels nearby.

We went to try it out and had a great meal and made some great memories. We chose to do the bbq which is a 4 chair table with a bbq in the middle that you can cook all your food on. It was actually fun the girls had a great time doing it and I think it will help them learn good skills to use later. The server was Tiffany and she did a great job they were very busy and she was running crazy. She did a amazing job and was supper friendly. If ya want a good meal try it out I think you will be happy. They have normal tables the hibachi and then the bbq tables.

First time to this Shogun and it was very similar to other hibachi places we have been over the past decade or so. The staff was the best part of the visit. They were all extremely polite and professional. Their $25 combo hibachi was a great deal especially with the option to pay an extra $7 to share with anyone at the table. This makes it $16 per person with steak and shrimp or whatever combo you want. They offer military discount as well so with four adults and five kids we spent $120 with $30 being the tip. Rice was a little under cooked but meat and shrimp were on point! Will def be going back.

Only issue I had was no Host by the door, I had to find someone to seat us. Other than that, the the server was prompt, and checked on us regularly. I chose the white flounder with lemon broccoli, the fish was very good. Was nice and flaky, not dry, and full of taste. Will definitely have to go again, this I know to be a fact.

Very nice and friendly waitress, the chef was professional and friendly, the food was amazing. Thanks it was my daughter’s birthday, they even brought drums and sang birthday song for her.
