First time to eat there. Upon arrival we had a seating issue, the staff addressed it quickly and with good grace. The floor manager throughout the night checked on us and ensured we were enjoying ourselves and our dinner. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable on the menu and wine list. Overall the staff was great. We enjoyed our appetizers, entree’s, and desserts. We will definitely go back. Great restaurant.

I took my girlfriend here to celebrate us being together for a few months and I wanted a fancy place with a nice dinner and a unique atmosphere. The atmosphere was definitely elegant and modern, exactly what I wanted. We started off with wine, which was something we both enjoyed. However the Caesar salads tasted like cheese, it was so overpowering and the lettuce was soaked in dressing. Gatsby could benefit from cutting back on the cheese and using less dressing. We also selected the calamari which was so salty it tasted like I was eating a salt block, very unimpressed and disappointed. My girlfriend enjoyed her salmon but the lobster Mac and cheese was underwhelming especially considering the price. I had the bone in steak and I was disappointed in the taste and the shrimp topping which was overcooked and tough. The highlight of my steak was the truffle butter. I also ordered the broccoli which was delicious. We finished our meal off with cheesecake which was pretty close to perfect, especially since Gatsby wrote I love you on the plate for me. It could use a few more strawberries but other than that it was very rich and smooth. I had high expectations for Gatsby that simply were not met, so sadly I can not rate it better. But as I mentioned it does have some elements I enjoyed but overall the quality for the price was inadequate.

The experience was suboptimal. Food was salty and scorched plates are never a good sign. Oysters are sold 4/serving instead of half a dozen or dozen. Overpriced food and watered down drinks. Sides were the best part of this meal. I got loaded mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. About halfway into my meal I was munching on someone’s blonde hair found in my food. I immediately threw up! The manager was reasonable enough to remove all the hot food from my check and we still paid about $170. I had such high hopes for this place and was let down tremendously! Overall will NOT be returning for another subpar meal. Would NOT recommend!

Table for 8. Not an ideal table location or setup, but they don’t seem to have many options for larger groups. Despite that, service was very good. Deviled eggs were excellent. I had 8oz filet, medium rare, which is the cut I have first in every new steakhouse. Excellent prep and flavor. Served on a scorching hot plate, so it stayed hot/warm throughout my meal. I would definitely return with no more than three others in my party.

Just an awesome experience from top to bottom. Drinks were stellar. The sautéed Shrimp and the Baked Oysters were insane. I had the porterhouse with lobster and shrimp with truffle butter… SO GOOD! Not to mention our server Big Jess (Jessica) was the best server I’ve ever had. She was fun and gave great recommendations. I went in expecting this to be a 4 star place and came out just wowed by the whole experience. By far my favorite steakhouse in Houston.

Went here for a friends bday dinner. Let’s just say I’d rather go to outback or Saltgrass. We were served water, & I noticed there was a corn in my drink. Keep in mind we didn’t even had food yet. Valet is a joke. We had to park ourselves, they want to charge people different amounts. I would never come back.
