About Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria Considered the oldest family name in Chicago pizza, Lou Malnati’s is as rich in history as its pizza is in flavor. Lou Malnati got his start in the 1940’s working in Chicago’s first deep dish pizzeria. He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Lou was known for his fun-loving character as well as making Chicago’s best pizza. Loyal patrons lined the streets on opening day for a taste of his delicious deep dish creations. Lou always thought it was funny that an Italian should open a pizzeria in a Jewish neighborhood on an Irish holiday.

I ordered a small “The Lou” Deep Dish Pizza. I added Jalapeños as well. I had my children’s father to pick it up for me & when I began to eat it, I noticed that they didn’t even put the jalapeños….in which I paid for, on the pizza. Also, the pizza was very bland…didn’t even have much taste to it & I could not taste any butter in the crust. When I called, they were closed. I will be calling tomorrow to request a refund. Paid almost $30 for this mess.

A little expensive for pizza but worth every penny. The salads are addictive. I buy bottles of the dressing because it is the best dressing I ever had. Good desserts too. This location is usually pretty busy, but the staff is friendly and handles it well.

The customer service was excellent from the staff. However, the pizza itself wasn’t great at all. The sauce tasted as if it came directly out of can. True Deep Dish Pizza creators know that the sauce is extremely important just like affordable pizza prices and customer service.

Excellent service the young lady at the counter was very pleasant. This was my first time ordering from this location. This location is pick up only. Time was 35 to 45 minutes but I had to wait an extra 10 or 15 mins upon arrival. So allow yourself the extra time. It was all worth it the pizza was so fresh, and good. Extra large half sausage and half veggies thin crust ran close to $55

I have tried different locations of this franchise and yet to be disappointed, until now… When I heard that Flossmoor had a brand new location that was 10 minutes away from my home, I was super stoked and definitely wanted to indulge…. I order a small sausage and a large Italian beef pizza. And this is what I received, the pizza was definitely under cooked, it was barely any meat, or cheese for that matter. I would of went back to return it but, it was already late in the evening…I gave it 3 stars, because customer service was great… just not the food..

Love lou, not a fan of this location. We already called to resolve it but in my opinion, they don’t care. Wish that would change but I don’t have faith in that. The phone will just keep ringing because the ingredients taste amazing…they are just not compelled to do better. Love lou so much we had it at our wedding…shame we are thinking of switching if tonight goes poorly. Pics are from a few weeks ago. Supposed to be extra cheese. Anyone else feel this is barley enough to be considered regular cheese?
