Much tastier than I thought. Might be a new favorite! I usually eat keto but chose this to try for an off plan meal. Some of the best fries, the broccoli was cooked to the perfect doneness, the burrito was delicious. The queso was really good as well as the salsa. I also had the churros, which tasted really good but they fell apart so a little harder to eat. Margaritas were also good. Can’t wait to return!

For a soft opening the Queso’s staff did a great job. Our server did a great job especially since she has only been a server for a court of days. The decor is hip and modern, and not something one would find at most Mexican restaurants. The staff was friendly and immediately served us chips and salsa. The Chips were crispy, and the salsa was fresh and had a hint of heat. We started our meal with the Trio Appetizer which included the Mango Pico de Gallo, Queso and Guacamole. The Mango Pico de Gallo was addictive because of the fresh ingredients, and was light and refreshing on a warm summer day. The Queso was creamy, cheesy and a hint of spice. The Guacamole was creamy, mild and flavorful. For dinner my wife had the Burrito Bowl, and she enjoyed every bite. My son also enjoyed the Arroz Con Pollo, and finished his plate. I ordered the Mix ‘n’ Match Street Tacos. The Grilled Cactus was very tender, the Cochinita Pibil was tender, citrusy and juicy, and the Barbacoa was tender, meaty and smoky. My side of Sweet Plantains was delicious. Perfectly fried with crispy edges, and soft and sweet on the inside. For dessert we ordered both the Churros and the Fried Ice Cream. The Churros were crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, and coated in a cinnamon sugar. They were so delicious especially when followed by some vanilla ice cream. Next, the Fried Ice Cream was creamy and the coating had a cinnamon flavor and a crunch to it. Very delicious as well. All in all a great meal and experience especially for a soft opening.

I’m a fan of most of the food here. It’s not your average Mexican joint. They have significantly more types of ingredients than most. Cochina Pibli being one of those, along with Birria, ribeye, and others. There ceviche is excellent as are their Micheladas. They haven’t had their hard opening yet and I’m already a fan!

First time today and then It’s not so bad but taco de birria a little over salt but it’s fine. I will try again with a different dish.

Pretty much your standard Mexican restaurant. A bit bland food wise. The street corn had zero flavor. A bit over priced as well. Not a very large menu. The queso dip was good though. The service was good as well. Just nothing worth going back for at that price. Your local Mexican restaurants have more to choose from and better flavor at a way better price.

Thought it was pricey. Food was pretty good. Very clean and the decor was excellent. I personally think that peco, sour cream should automatically be served with Fajitas. You have to order it as your 2 sides. Chips and salsa were very good.

We have eaten here twice now and everything we’ve had was delicious! The veggie enchiladas were phenomenal! Super fresh Guac too! The menu is great with a variety of authentic dishes not often found at many other Mexican restaurants, sopes, chilaquiles, red snapper; but also the typical staples: street tacos, fajitas, etc.

Food was ok overall. Service however was not so good. Our server was not very attentive and forgetful. We requested extra salsa two times and never did receive. Server did not check back for drink refills or check back after getting our food to see if we needed anything else. There was two of us dining and one had a small margarita and other had a coke. Each ordered entree off the the menu and total bill was $58 which included tip. For that amount of money I expect service to be at its best. I hope the restaurant makes it because it’s a nice addition to Plainfield.

The atmosphere and service were good! But unfortunately we were not impressed with the food! It’s clear the meat and vegetables were frozen/precooked and the salsa had no flavor! We had high hopes for this place but it did not meet our expectations, sadly.

Very nice atmosphere but the food was unseasoned, chicken hadn’t been marinated or seasoned. Black beans weren’t seasoned at all. I would go here again for drinks and the TV’s to watch sports, but the food was horrible.
