One of the best Mexican restaurants in all of Hampton Roads! The food is hot and fresh, and the restaurant is very clean. Service is fast but still top-notch. The ingredients are quality and it’s obvious the cooks care about the food they serve.

My daughter and I have a dinner date every Tuesday and we typically go to Plaza in downtown Suffolk. After numerous people recommending El Rodeo to us we finally caved after having a not so pleasant time last week at Plaza. There was a little bit of a wait which is odd for most mexican restaurants around here and there wasnt a lot of parking which was honestly a good sign to us. We were seating and immediately brought the chips and salsa and white sauce. The white sauce was delicious and our food was great. We had great service until it was time to pay and leave which is why I took 1 star away. After 15 minutes of not seeing our server, my daughter went up front to ask if someone could get our bill for us so we could pay and leave. We will definitely be back next week for our Tuesday dinner date and give it another try.

The staff are very helpful and very quick to get you what you need. The atmosphere is family friendly. The food quality is great for the price. Great portion sizes. Great taco Tuesdays. They treat you well, like family at El Rodeo.

Fantastic family-friendly Mexican restaurant. The service was good and fast. The staff are friendly. The menu is sizeable. The food was excellent. I ordered the Chipotle Texas Burrito and it was phenomenal. Can’t wait to try other items. The restaurant is fairly clean, but can get busy. Looking forward to the next visit.

The staff at this establishment are extremely friendly, the food is good and reasonably priced. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area. The one piece of advice I would give to the ownership is to try adding some more traditional Mexican quisine when you add items to the menu. I think you would be surprised by whom would like enjoy those menu items.
