I visited while staying in Suffolk and had heard this was one of the highest-rated restaurants in the area. It’s about a 9-mile drive out to Windsor in Isle of Wight County, and I can see why so many people make the trip.
The restaurant is large, busy, and clearly popular with both locals and visitors. Service was quick considering how packed it was, and the staff handled the crowd well. The food itself was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Portion sizes were generous, and everything I tried was prepared really well.
This spot truly feels like the centerpiece of the town, and it’s definitely worth the short drive if you’re anywhere nearby. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great Mexican food in the Suffolk/Windsor area.

Nice chips pre-meal. Good tamales but no beef. Red sauce on enchiladas very good. Chili reno was tasty. Food is good but in general could use more spices. But I’m from Texas so we like tex-mex to be hotter. Menu is quite large with many choices.

We ate here this afternoon for an early dinner. All of the staff were attentive to us. Not just our server but all of them.
They were also friendly, and professional providing a comfortable atmosphere for customers.
The food was amazing and there was enough to share and take home. It came out hot, sizzling and piled with shrimp, steak and chicken. It’s the first Texas Fajita I’ve had in a very long time from any other restaurant that actually looked and tasted like the restaurant staff wanted you to be a return customer.
As well, the price was more than fair.
We will definitely be returning.

We had always wanted to stop here since they opened. It looks like a little hole in the wall but the inside is very nice and they have a pretty large menu! We stopped in for lunch and will definitely stop in again! My husband was also excited to see that they had Busch Light on draft.

I visited El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant today and enjoyed my lunch! From the moment I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted by one of the associates in Spanish This place has a great ambiance and overall good vibes. I ordered the wings, fajita taco salad with chicken and steak, a hardshell chicken taco supreme, and sweet tea. Delicious food and excellent service. Thank you for coming to my hometown! I will be back!
