What is harder than sitting next to your hottie and eating a delicious pizza. My sweetheart has no flaws, but he does not eat cheese. He warns me that if he did things would get nasty. I’m not curious enough to find out so we ordered a tomato pizza with meatballs.
I was especially tickled by the display of extremely sharp Japanese knives on display which are available for purchase. I felt like I was in a scene from a tarantino film and at any moment somebody could come in and smash the glass. Take two of the knives. And in slow motion cut all the pizzas into little pieces.
We thoroughly enjoyed our pizza and even though I was full I just kept eating. They serve the pizza on a special grated tray so that it doesn’t get soggy. The cashier /server was calm and confident as we struggled to make our order. It was the first time we ever ordered a pizza together.
We ordered a house salad which was massive and well-dressed.
If I were a local, I would not be making this review because I would not want it overrun by tourists. I would like to keep it a secret so that my sweetheart and I don’t have to wait in a cue and we can have as much time as possible to banter with a cute server about the many toppings we could choose and the knives we could purchase.

I am not terribly knowledgeable about good pizza but I know that I enjoyed what I got. I had a slice with mushroom and a slice with cheese steak, as well as a birch beer. The guy that took our order was pleasant and we got a chance to talk to the owner. Overall, great experience.

My daughter took me here because she knows I love great pizza. The crust was thin and crispy, every bite was filled with flavor. I had a slice of classic and Mama Gs. We also had some really good French fries. Over all 10 out of 10. Next time I’m in Philly.

Just got into Philly for a conference and felt a bit hungry. This place looked highly recommended. We were disappointed. The cheesesteak had a very tasty bun with toasted sesame seeds. It was made with ribeye. After that it fell flat. Needed more whiz in my opinion. Salt in the beef would be a great start. The fries are huge and crispy, though the cheese was a bit waxy. Felt underwhelming.
Great service though and the food was hot.

I recently visited Wood Street Pizza in Philly and loved it! I tried a slice of their grandma pizza and cheesesteak pizza, and both were super tasty. The grandma pizza had bright, fresh flavors that popped in every bite. The cheesesteak pizza was packed with classic Philly vibes—cheesy and meaty, just how I like it. What really stood out was the crust. It was perfectly crispy, giving each slice a great crunch. The place has a cool, laid-back vibe, and the staff were friendly, making it a fun spot to grab a quick meal. If you’re in the area and craving pizza with bold flavors and a killer crust, Wood Street Pizza is a must-try!

Pizza slices are pretty good. I usually get the grandma and the cheese- thin, crispy, good flavor.
Pizza fries were not good. Got soggy quick and the cheese became almost solidified. Maybe it’s a me thing.
Bathroom is horrifyingly gross.
Seating is also uncomfortable. The tables are a bit high and the chairs a bit low.

Grandma slice always hits. I often make time for getting a bite there when I go into the city for work. The pizza is fresh and the special slices are also great! Check their IG for other food specials 🙂

Really ordinary quality, the store decorated as I thought this is a special place as Eddie’s pizza in Temple University. But no, this is typical dry cheese, tomato with odor, burned dough which bitter, definitely the quality you can get in school cafeteria. Nothing special about this place, it’s not even better than domino thin crust. Do you understand “don’t add basil in tomato sauce”? It make the tomato odorous.

Center city china town local pizza place. Table seating and friendly service. Good home made dough pizza and fresh ingredients. Good location to convention center and city hall. Open later and convenient. We were pleasantly surprised they were open New Year’s Day.
