The atmosphere here is BEAUTIFUL! I came here with a bachelorette group spontaneously for drinks and was shocked to see no one there (they just opened) so we were able to be sat right at the bar. It was perfect! The bride wanted to go here because it’s Instagrammable and so classy. The bartenders were great and knew how to mix a cocktail. The prices were expected and average! We had a group so I put almost everything on one card. Two girls who got expresso martinis were on their own tab and paid and closed out – yet, I was still charged for them! Since it was a big group I didn’t think to double-check the tab so I gave my card without looking at it. When I went to send the picture of the bill to the group, I noticed we were double-checked for the espresso martinis that were already paid for. I called management right away and let them know – they said they would refund me and it might take a few days – yet I never received the almost $40. Double check your tab before paying – especially with a group. I understand accidents happen, but if a manager says she will refund you – normally they do!

We went to San Lorenzo at Hotel Saint Vincent for dinner and loved it so much, we returned for breakfast the following morning. San Lorenzo is a tale of 2 experiences.

I visited San Lorenzo for the Easter Brunch. Prix Fixe was the only option and it included 3 course plus dessert. The entire experience was a disappointment and our server didn’t do anything to resolve our issues. We each started with the seafood salad. The description stated that scallops would be included. Welp, neither of us had scallops. We told the server and she blew it off. 2nd course, one guest had the quiche and the other the crab toast. We both enjoyed them, so no concerns. 3rd course, one guest had the prime rib (just okay) and the other had the buttermilk fried chicken. The chicken was the most awful thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. When we cut it open, there was no meat inside. It was an empty cavity. Again, we told the server and she did nothing. My problem with this entire experience is that it was prepaid to include a service charge. I get that, BUT it shouldn’t be an excuse to not provide good service and to completely ignore the customers concerns. I was hoping to one day try this place for dinner, but will pass. San Lorenzo will never get anymore of my money.

The atmosphere and place itself is so cute and unique! Most of the food and drinks were great except the steak was over cooked. The birds of paradise drink was so good! Our waitress seemed condescending and not happy to do anything though. She never came back during our meal for about 2 hours until she brought the dessert menu/bill.

If I could give negative stars I would. Never in my life have I had such an unpleasant dining experience until my visit to this restaurant. First off, points to the hotel. It’s absolutely stunning, very vibrant and beautifully curated. Myself and three of my coworkers came for dinner this evening and a few minutes after we had been seated, one of the workers, who we would later discover was our server came and poured water. He said absolutely nothing. He did not greet us, introduce himself or state that he’d be our server for the night. The only thing he asked was if we were ready to get drinks. We put in our drink orders and I kid you not, waited 40 whole minutes until we had to flag someone else down (who turned out to be an employee of the hotel, not the restaurant) to inquire about our drinks. She actually stated that she had seen our drinks sitting on the bar. A minute later, our server returns with the drinks and then WE had to ask to put in food orders. At this point, we are being ignored the entire time we’re dining. We put in appetizers and didn’t even stay around to get entrees. The three times we saw our server the whole night was when he poured our water, brought our drinks and then dropped the check. He didn’t say a SINGLE word the entire night. At the end, we asked about what we thought might’ve been a mistake on the check (my coworker had been charged 16 dollars for four pieces of shrimp on her salad, making her salad a total of 34 dollars- the price of most of their entrees)… Our server said we SHOULDVE BEEN CHARGED MORE. Now I know this sounds incredibly hard to believe but we were astonished!!! I will never go back here again in my life, I will never recommend this place. Absolutely, hands down the WORST service i’ve ever experienced. My salad was tasty though, compliments to the chef.

I wish I could rate this place higher. Loved the ambiance and the building is gorgeous. The food was fine. I had higher expectations coming in. Sadly, service was subpar. It is worth mentioning that the restaurant was not busy at the time and all the food and drinks took a very long time to get to my table (hr+). I had to flag other staff in order to get service at times. Wished it was better.

What a cool venue! The Saint Vincent has a great NOLA vibe and the restaurant was well placed inside. Italian at its best and we very much enjoyed the service and atmosphere. We may stay at this hotel in the near future.

Went for first time for a Sunday brunch. The hotel is a treasure of historic renovation. Chic while leaving the NOLA architecture in place. The Vesper martini is stellar – the hint of bergamot absolutely perfect. Our waitress was attentive and helpful with our questions. My shrimp and buttery polenta was a perfect proportion with spot on flavor. Not too spicy. My only complaint was the comfort of the dining arrangement. The tables are crammed so close together I had to turn sideways to get in. Plus the little tables have four legs that you have to squeeze between. It literally had to be pulled out like a chair for me to sit down and pushed back over my legs. My date would never fit in that spot. While the velvet settees look nice, you sink down in them and you have no back support as you sit to the tables edge. Horrible set up. I would definitely come back to the bar but not to dine unless I could be seated somewhere else.
