Convenient but atrocious food. The cheese on my sandwich was stiff and discolored. The tomatoes were dried out. The bacon was cold as a corpse. Service is moderately friendly but seems worn out by tourists.

Our group visited the Derby Museum and enjoyed lunch at the Derby Cafe after. The food was delicious. The salad, pulled pork, hot brown casserole, derby pie, and roasted vegetables were just perfect. Everyone in the group raved about the food.

Went on the off season to the derby museum and the derby cafe. Was not all that impressed with the food selection and quality. However, good drink selection and seating.

WOW!!! What a great lunch! Food is great. Calvin is not only a fantastic waiter, but a man to put a smile on your face. What a great representative for not only Churchill Downs but for Louisville Kentucky!!!

After 30 minutes of waiting after ordering the server told us we came in when everybody came in but our order would be out in a few minutes. Ten minutes later I asked the host if there was a charge for water and he said no. I told him we waited over 30 minutes and got no food so we are leaving. He said ok. We didn’t get an apology. Now the KY Derby museum was great but I highly recommend not eating at their restaurant.

The Derby Café has a nice, spacious atmosphere with a view to the outside, but the incredibly poor customer service and mediocre food is a turn off.
