So disappointed. We had a bad experience the last time we ordered but it’s always been my favorite restaurant so wanted to try it again. I placed our order and arrived 10 min early. I was told they had no order for me. I showed them proof of call on my phone and they said they would get it made. Over an hr later and 3 different trips to bring things that was forgotten. There was no chicken in the chicken and dumplings and the mashed potatoes are so dried out the crumble . There were several other complaints while I was there so it wasn’t just me. I understand places have an off day but this seems to be the norm anymore

Worst experience out of 100s at any Cracker Barrel. Got seated immediately. The restaurant wasn’t extremely busy. Our waitress took our with 5 minutes. Took another 10 for the tea to come out. A neighbor table commented to the waitress they had been almost an hour. At the hour mark our waitress finally came back and i asked what was the problem and that we had witnessed at least 3 other tables, who came in 15 to 20 minutes after is, had already been served their food. Her answer was i reminded the cooks. Hard to mess up fried chicken but it was clearly over cooked in bad oil, almost black. Mac n cheese was lukewarm. The wifes dumplings we so thick and tasted like flour because they weren’t cooked enough. I never saw a manager type around.

Another horrible experience at the Cracker Barrel. I ordered the roast beef dinner with two sides. Mac-n-cheese and dumplings. What I received was a Dumplings dinner with a side of Mac-n-cheese. Of course they’re not answering the phone. Not sure what has happened to this chain. I travel a lot and it’s the same poor quality service 50%-60% of the time.

The food and service was terrible the last time we were there. We waited an hour for our food and it was hardly edible. We ordered fish and shrimp and the shrimp was overcooked and rubbery and the fish was little broken pieces of mostly breading. We will not be returning.

I wish I could give it 5 stars I know Cracker Barrel is a staple for most people but I just can’t. The store was clean so 2 stars for that. The bathrooms were not the greatest seemed like some maintenance needed to take place very soon. We got there and the wait for our food was over an hour and watching people that got there after us receive their food before we even got our drinks was discouraging. Our food must have been forgotten because we had to get the manager’s attention to let her know we had been there waiting for over an hour. Finally once they brought the food out, it had been nuked and not good. My daughter had ate one of the tenderes before she found the hair and they were tastless and she said tasted like it was cooked in old oil. The waitress just pretty much forgot about us and the cook staff was pretty much running around the front giggling. I’m sure this was just a bad night in general but I honestly couldn’t believe the bad service and the non seasoned food. Definitely not the Cracker barrels I’m used to. The manager did give us a complementary chocolate cola cake for my daughter for our troubles.

Although we had a party of 7 and arrived at 5p, we were seated immediately. Our waiter was courteous; she double checked to make sure she got our orders right. And she returned during the meal to see how supper was going. The food was typically delicious for Cracker Barrel.

So, I hadn’t had chicken tenders in quite some time so thought I would order them here. Well, they really weren’t too good. Greasy and gristly. Probably the worst chicken tenders I’ve had anywhere. Mac and cheese side was barely warm. Cole slaw was was pretty good though. Service was fine.

It is now 2:23p and still no food. The restaurant is less than 1/2 full. Server is trying to keep us from passing out with biscuits. She reports there are 6 people in the kitchen and tickets are still running at over an hour. This is ridiculous and clearly a management issue.

I have a mix of emotions about this great looking store but not so great looking restaurant part. Tables were very used, literally clear coat missing in places. I received my silverware after my food. Some sides on the menu were out, ham was way too salty, chicken dumplings just a big blob of stuff, mashed potatoes were half dry, Sorry but the only thing I liked from a sampler dish was a meatloaf, it was great Service was slow though.

Our visits to any cracker have always been good. The only mar on their near perfect record of excellence is from them being understaffed on the morning we had breakfast there. We. Stayed overnight in our class c RV in the parking lot after having a great dinner. Breakfast was good, just slow in order taking and delivery of the meal. Other than that, it was the usual excellent.
