My “must go to” place when in NC. Super quick service inside & always get the food hot. I went for BBQ chicken & pulled pork, but since the Wednesday Special was Ribs – I just had to get another plate! Oh My! The flavor of their meats are top notch. Chicken, ribs, & pulled pork are the best around. The cashier & back staff are always friendly, seeming to have a good time with each other in their banter, and the place is welcoming. My daughters always ask for double orders of hush puppies, and the vinegar coleslaw is my favorite. Not ashamed to say I’ve driven off and had to turn around to order a larger portion of banana pudding. Yep – you need to get banana pudding. Thanks Stubbs & Son for good food & great service.

We were traveling through Carthage and staying for the night. Don’t let the building fool you. The food was amazing. The BBQ sauce was excellent, the sides were good and the Brisket was tender. The price was great, service was quick and the food excellent. A must try if your in the area.
They do have a few counters you could eat at, but for all intents and purpose, it’s take out only.

I went for lunch twice. Both times, everyone was friendly, and even though there was a quick rush of people, the service was still fast. The BBQ plate portions were sizable, and the pulled pork was good (not too dry, not at all soggy, and had a little spicy heat to it). The hush puppies were decent, and the coleslaw was definitely above average. The second time, I had the beef brisket, which was *very* good. Will be going again and trying other menu items.

I have to write this review in 2 parts because I got to take a nap in the middle of it. Try both sauces on the BBQ and if you dont try the Cobb you will probably be arrested for negligence. Talk about some good food. They got a lot of food here so if you use the drive thru, bring a truck. Amen.

Let me straight the point. Food so good you’ll want to smack yourself after swallowing every bite. Staff very cordial and friendly as well.

When I walked in, the smell of the bbq was awesome. The food tasted even better than it smelt. The customer service was very friendly, and they recommended options to feed my family and save money. I plan to eat there again. My wife and I highly recommend their banana pudding.

Chicken was fall off the bone finger licking good and the ribs were simply the best. Amazing staff, and great prices. Can’t go wrong! Have to absolutely try the brisket and the cheesecake Ice cream is so good you’ll want to take the entire tub with you

BBQ isn’t southern Lexington style. The BBQ was so spicy I couldn’t taste the bread, slaw or meat. Banana pudding had little flavor, I make way better at home. The hush puppies was on point. Might try hush puppies and onion rings next time but absolutely no BBQ or banana pudding
