We enjoyed stopping at Chapa’s! Anyone driving back and forth from Lubbock to Dallas should check it out in Post. The wait staff were very nice and the food was excellent for the price. Having just come from Dallas / Fort Worth we were glad to get such value. They were gathering signatures for Garza County to allow them to sell alcohol. My wife and I signed, although only signatures from Post and the surrounding area may count. If you want this family restaurant to increase it’s operating profit and bring more attractions to the local community, ask to sign their petition!

Have passed this place many times on my way through Post. Decided to stop today and give it a try. Was there on the one o’clock hour. They were not busy at all. My food took quite a while. I had the combo plate. It was nothing to brag about at all. The best I can say is it was hot out of the kitchen. Chips were good, salsa was not. My waitress was very hard to understand and had to ask her to repeat herself several times. No need for me to stop there again.

The food was very good. We had a large party and our food came out fast and fresh. Our waitress did a great of helping us. It was definitely a nice surprise while stoping in Post.

Service was horrible. By the time the last 2 people at our table got our food, the others were almost finished. They brought half our table’s food then served the table beside us their food before they finished serving us. We didn’t get silverware so half of us used our tea spoon to eat with. The food did not taste real good either. I asked for a salad and never got it. Won’t be back.

Chapa’s Mexican Restaurant was a very nice place to meet for dinner with friends or family! The staff is very friendly and helpfully and answered any questions we asked! Like how long the business was there, 40 years in case you are wondering! They make their on salsa for the chips and dip, just a word of warning salsa has a little bit of a kick/spice punch to it but we really like it and would eat there again when going through Post, Texas!

Fajita plates are small and beef was tough and had lots of gristle. New untrained wait staff and screaming kids in the kitchen that were children of an employee. Not a great experience and food was less than average.

The service was horrible, the wait staff was talking about other customers who had been in and complained. My family got their food before me and finished eating when the server came to check on us and saw that I had not gotten my food, so i told her yo make it to go.

To start with the positive, the service was great. Otherwise, the food was the worst I’ve ever had. My sister and I got the chicken flautas and the chalupa plate and both were inedible. We both took a few bites and couldn’t bring ourselves to eat the rest.

The guacamole was tasty and the chicken flauta plate fairly good. They had no iced tea (in Texas!) The staff were very friendy, and apologetic, because the service was excruciatingly slow even though it was not crowded.

Showed up about 8:40pm…closed at 10pm. We were ignored as waitress walked by us 4 times, only about 4 tables with customers. 5th time happened and figured Lubbock is only 40 min away and take our chances there. Too bad looking forward to trying Chappas
