Chaat N Dosa is one of the better Indian restaurants in Charlotte. We visited around 6pm on a Tuesday for an early dinner and it wasn’t busy. They’ve an array of dosas, chaats and other North and South Indian dishes available.

Chaat n Dosa is a counter restaurant, when you walk in, there are two self serve kiosks, so it takes a little time if there are families in front of you. But luckily, they have a QR code on the tables that you can order from your phone! This saves time too. They have a vast menu, I would suggest looking online unless you order the same thing every visit, they have all the staples, dosa, idli, vada and chaats. They have expanded since my first visits and the menu has changed a couple of times. The manager told me they are adding a few items soon too. I’m excited to see what they will add. Always remember to order chai, it is unsweetened, so be sure to grab a sugar if you take it to go! One tip I would give you, if you are trying for the first time, dine in, almost everything is fried and it is so much better than riding it around in your car.

I love this place — good Idli, Dosa and a lot of other good options I’m yet to explore! The Sambar is hot and tasty as well. Great place to eat good Indian food and have a coffee before heading to a movie. This is not a fine-dining place, so if one wants good food and doesn’t mind waiting to pick up food from the counter with token system and hustle then this is the place to enjoy good South Indian food! I wish they had flexible options with snacks in their menu where one can buy small portions of varieties separately instead of having to buy the whole mixed snacks option.

We go to Chat N Dosa mainly for their Rava dosas, medu vada and for their Upma which is world-class…I am not too fond of Upma but this is the only place where I enjoy eating Upma, it’s delicious….the utthapams were a little too thick for my liking and felt a little soggy so won’t order that again but will definitely be back to try some other items the next time.

Good south Indian breakfast items at affordable price. You have to order through their kiosk and sometimes the wait times are high depends on the no of customers. Tasty food at affordable price compared to other restaurants. They also serve Thali and Indian pastries, desserts.

Trying to accommodate my daughters vegan issues, I found Chaat n’ Dosa and I loved it. I didn’t know what to order so I ordered a lot. It was fantastic. My ‘chicken nugget’ son loved it. So, good job and keep it up!

It’s one of the best vegetarian places in Charlotte to feast on some authentic South Indian and North Indian breakfast and street food delicacies. I would definitely recommend their idli and dosas which are the best! Bhel puri is a little on the sweeter side, someone with a taste for spicy food might not prefer it.

This looked like how it is at a regular south Indian tiffin place looks in Bangalore or Chennai. Full of people, lucky to get a table.

Oh my goodness! Absolutely fantastic. Got some puris, aloo chaat something, the little bun sandwich thing, samosas, and spring dosa. Everything was absolutely delectable. This is coming from a meat eater too, I didn’t miss the meat AT ALL. Their chutnies are so good, especially the tamarind and the tomato ones. OH, we also got the savory donut-looking things, forgot the name but they were the stuff of dreams. Light, fluffy, crispy, savory, perfect for chutney soaking. Food was just amazing, my mouth is still watering. The only thing that wasn’t great was the gulab jamun. It was decent but was pretty dense and didn’t taste of any spices. Sorry to end on a negative note but I will definitely be back to try all of the amazing flavors that this place has to offer. I am blown away! ❤️❤️❤️
