This was my 1st time here in yrs & I LOVE good Ole country cooking! It’s my very favorite!!! And as far as waitresses go mine was THE BEST!! She was very friendly & sweet, I think her name was Brittney, and I liked her a lot!! But I’m sorry to say the young girl up front at the register was quiet the opposite, never smiled or said anything nice at all. If she’s like that a lot then someone like that MAYBE isn’t the right choice for up front! But for the most part my experience there was ok.. ish. I order steak tips, mashed potatoes & gravy, fried squash & Mac & cheese. And to be honest I have to say it was all ok, but no where near the best country cooking I’ve had. But it was no where near the worst either. The mashed potatoes & gravy was pretty good, and the Mac & cheese was alright, a LITTLE bland but ok, but I will say i thought the fried squash was way too mushy on the inside, but WAS crunchy on the outside, which I loved, and the steak was very plentiful, they give you a lot of it, and wasn’t bad at all. So over all my experience was ok, but I have read other reviews for Carolina café and I have to say the owner doesn’t show much professionalism when it comes to any criticism about his establishment, he seemed nice while I was there, but I also know my waitress did tell him I do reviews, soooo! I really hope it was genuine, but I think it’s terrible that he kept trying to run people to McDonald’s when he didn’t like what they had to say about his place or food, like he could care less. So I have very mixed feelings about Carolina Café now because that’s NOT how an owner of a business should behave. I didn’t much like that.

We were visiting from Ohio…..best meal on our trip!! Food was delicious, hot and staff/owner were friendly and made our son feel special for his belated bday with family. Great atmosphere!! We will be back!!

We had the smoked brisket and beef tips both were outstanding! Our server was attentive and sweet. We met the owner Mike. What super nice and interesting guy. The attention to detail in both the food and cleanliness was top notch. Hidden gem for sure.

We waited for our breakfast for 43 minutes. The waitress acted like the was on something because he eye was severely dilated. I watched her bring my chocolate pancake to the wrong table right beside us. It took her 15 minutes to figure out which table it actually went too. By the time we got out food it was cold. Then they charged us 27 dollars for cold food. That we didn’t enjoy. They the owner told us 27 dollars isn’t that much money. Won’t be going back!!!

I just recently moved here so it was my first time eating there. My waitress went above and beyond to take care of me and my son. In the middle of my meal I was called into work and she got everything bagged up for me and taken care of so quickly. At this point you are an able to leave a tip on a debit or credit card so I felt so bad I was unable to tip her. The food was absolutely amazing and I will definitely be going back

Probably one of the worst places ever to eat, and the waitress was responsible for causing havoc, and yelled most of the time. Not friendly at all. The restaurant was not at all busy, and we (2) ordered very simple food. People came in after us and got their food before us. We waited a great deal of time for our food, but never received it. A lady sitting behind us asked several times for more tea. When the waitress finally brought her some tea, she spilled it on the lady’s food and didn’t even offer to replace it. We finally got up and left without ever getting our food. I know we all have challenging days, but that waitress should not be working with the public with the bad attitude she had. Would never go to that restaurant again!!

Food was ok. Waitress was great. BUT didn’t go to eat breakfast and have to listen the owner?/manager? to come out and complain to us about the customers who come in late (10:30-11:30) and want breakfast. “Breakfast is not what keeps our doors open and we don’t have the freezer space for that.” Well my answer to that is get another freezer, stop selling breakfast, and stop complaining to your customers about your issues. We don’t want to hear it! DON’T WORRY, WON’T BE BACK!!!!!
