At our Athens, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This was a pretty standard experience except for the cashier. I believe her name was Myah. Myah was nothing but positive energy. She had an infectious smile, and her manners were spot on. This one person made a average experience so much better. This review was written with the hopes that her management would reward awesome work and give credit where due.

After standing at the register for about 3 or 4 minutes I asked if anyone could take my order. A black man who had his back to me the whole time turned to face me and acted like he was upset because I apparently was interrupting his store meeting. Instead of saying I’m sorry sir may I take your order, he asked me to wait a minute because what he was telling the employees was important. That may have been true, but I think the Time to have a store meeting should be completed before the Restaurant opens or after it’s closed. The customer is not an interruption of the work, they are the reason for it. I almost walked out. If I go back and it happens again I won’t return. On the plus side, the food was very good. So I will try once again.

The drive-thru line moves so slowly but it is so worth the wait at this location. The food is cooked fresh so get ready to turn the car off and play on your phone a while. They are friendly. Mid-High-priced meals. The battered fish is so good!

This location is hit or miss. Sometimes they’re short staffed and sometimes takes them a lot to take your order on the drive thru. Food was decent.

The lady at the register for drive thru was the nicest person. She was well spoken and kind. The food was hot and delicious. I rarely use the word delicious.

Pure laziness at its finest. Seriously there is not a single reason why any restraint should take so long. Taking orders thru the window instead of drive thru speaker. That only takes more time.

With only a few cars in front of mine it still took at least 15-20 minutes to get food via drive-thru … the “dining room” was locked because they only had 3 people working… woman at register was unconcerned at how long it was taking, and STILL couldn’t get my order correct. Also, don’t believe the signs about “get your $1.99 shrimp free if we don’t suggest it”. They didn’t suggest so I said I wanted it for free, like their signs said… and was charged for it. It’s not worth my time to argue with someone who just doesn’t care!

The worse company I could ever work for. Kitchen very nasty,has a bad smell in there as well have rotten food under the fires.Old oil/gress build on the fries. Employees never wash there hand including the GM.General Manger let the minors run the show. Very disrespectful I wouldn’t recommend no one to eat or work there

Slowest place around!! After saying please hold through the microphone, I held over 45 minutes in the drive thru and I was the only one there. I finally left..They locked the entrance so no one could come in and order. This is on a Thursday afternoon 3pm. They lost a lot of customers.
