Great food, reasonably priced and friendly service. Called our order in, had a 10 minute wait upon arrival but met a very hospitable server who sat and chatted with me at the bar with me while I waited so the time flew by.

We went to catch some dinner at the Cafe Azteca. We ate in the second level because the lower lever was full. The food was good. However, when they brought us the salsa and chips, the salsa had a thick layer of ice on top. It was a pretty fresh salsa for sure.

Great food! You get nice fresh chips and salsa once you’re seated. I had the pollo rosita (not spicy) which was awesome! My wife had the steak taquitos.

Friendly thoughtful people, but very bland food. The flan was a lumpy tragedy.

I’ve only been there for breakfast but it’s really tasty, as well as reasonably priced. Lots of interesting coffee options as well. Also, love the chill, relaxed vibe of the place. If I had to add a con it would be that parking can be a challenge during weekdays.

I hadn’t been to Cafe Azteca for a few years and was surprised that they had moved- but found that I love the new funky setting. Parking on Essex street is a challenge but easy just around the corner on Common. The service was THE BEST. Fabulous bartender, whose name I didn’t catch but wish I did, made us feel so at home. It was great that Mary, one of the owners, also came to say hi to us. The food was great (I had the yoga bowl with steak, super good) – the queso so tasty! Also, the apple dessert was AMAZING- warm, wrapped in phyllo with ice cream on the side. It was a great way to kick off the weekend. I’ll be back!
